Have an awesome summer at BlackRock and be part of a great team. This is an opportunity for students entering grades 9-12 to earn Student Service Learning hours and develop great leadership and supervision skills assisting campers between the ages of 4 ½ and 13. Experience working with children and an interest in visual art, drama, music or dance is preferred. CITs must be committed to attending their entire session and take part in a training to participate in the program. Please select one of three MANDATORY Training Dates when you register: Sunday, May 22nd from 2pm-5pm, Wednesday, June 1st from 5pm-8pm or Sunday, June 19th from 2pm-5pm. Participants must be 14 by the start of their camp session and entering 9th grade. There is no programming on the 4th of July. In this 2 week class series kids will learn the art of film making. The class will work together to take a short script, break it down, cast, schedule and film it. Students will work with Industry professionals and be assigned specific roles/departments. Upon completion, the footage will be handed off to the Editing Class and once completed thru post, each child will get a downloadable link of their final completed movie to share with Family & Friends.
