LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Titus Strength Training Boys/Girls - Sanford Day Camp
Titus Speed-Strength training system and programming focuses on increasing an athletes total body explosiveness, ability to run faster, jump higher, throw further, increase change of direction efficiency and improve speed endurance. The camp will focus on mobility/flexibility, agility, balance, reaction speed and coordination for young athletes. Most exercises use the athletes own body weight or light resistance. Resistance training exercises are safe and fundamental in nature and focus on maintaining posture and positioning throughout the full range of motion. This is a great program for building any young athletes fitness and training base. ---------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. Campers will be transported to the Titus™ Center. ---------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp. This past year, social media has been flooded with violent images of the over policing of marginalized communities. We have felt the detrimental impact of state sanctioned violence, which has led to too many of our children, parents, friends, family and community members behind bars. CJNY member organizations continue to do the critical organizing and advocacy work to resist the structural racism within our justice and education systems. Please join us for a week of serious Bible study. We are inviting men aged 18 and older to come and study God’s word together with us. The men who will present lessons are all devoted to the word of God and to teaching that word to others. The classes will be designed to be a particular help to those who are preachers and teachers but all are welcome to come. Each day we we will have six sessions with each speaker having about an hour to present. Each evening, our speakers will form a panel for a question and answer session. Our plan is to have everyone arrive on Monday evening in time for supper. Our studies will begin on Tuesday morning and go through Friday evening. We have enough room for everyone to stay overnight at the camp location. We will be providing meals and snacks throughout the week. To cover these expenses as well as utilities for the facility, we are charging a $75 fee.

Fashion Sewing Camp at The Sewing Room- Student Choice - The Sewing Room
Fashion Sewing Camp at The Sewing Room- Student Choice Learn to sew, draw, and express yourself through fashion! Join us for a week or two of fashion fun. Each child will complete a garment and model it in an informal fashion show at the end of the week. We explore different aspects of the design process throughout the camp. Machines and tools are provided at THE SEWING ROOM, but students must purchase a project either from THE SEWING ROOM or from a fabric store (not included in the price of the camp). Each Winter Uprising Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. Clinic will conclude with a skill appropriate king of the hill. Parker Summers Extreme, Session II - Francis W Parker
This program provides campers with both on- and off-campus experiences. For each week-long session campers select one morning activity (see choices). After lunch, there are a variety of gym games, group activities, instructional swim, beach visits and tournament days. Campers wishing to sign up for Sessions I & II can do so with this registration process. Session I: Day session from 8:30 am-3:30 pm Session II: Night session from 4 pm-8 pm (only 4 nights--no Friday night camp Boys and girls in grades 4-11 Every camper will take a short break between the end of the Day Session (3:30) and the start of the night session (4:00 PM) to rehydrate, have some snacks and get refreshed before transitioning to the night session. Campers coming for the whole day should bring snacks/lunch/drinks...bring a ball or purchase a camp ball from our camp store....come ready to play. Session I (days) is different from the night session. Session I offers a traditional style camp with regular teams and games.
