LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Acoma Bears A, Full Day - Hopkins Campus
Join Camp Acoma Bears for a summer of action, creation and relaxation in six unique sessions. Local field trips serve as capstones and opportunities for more hands-on learning and adventure. A foundation of Camp Acoma is developing strong relationships with other campers and counselors. Blake faculty and counselors who are caring role models with unique talents lead Camp Acoma. Our counselor-to-student ratio is below 1:8. Dedicated arts and physical education faculty deepen athletic and artistic experiences throughout each session. Please pack a nut-free lunch, afternoon snack and water bottle for your child each day. Refrigerators and microwaves are not available. Camp Acoma Bears takes full advantage of Blakes rolling acres, pool (Hopkins campus only), gymnasium, ice arena (Hopkins campus only) and nearby lakes. Each session offers hours of swimming lessons and water-based activities. A personalized swim assessment guides the instruction of each child and Red Cross Certified lifeguards serve as instructors. New or reluctant swimmers will be guided gently in water adjustment and learn-to-swim exercises. Ice skating in Blakes arena will be offered twice a week (Hopkins campus only). Kid's Spring Break Camp - Denver, CO
Focus and fun is the premise behind our children's day camp run by qualified staff from Enshin Karate and Radiant Beginnings Yoga. Our martial arts class, is taught by 4 time world champion Mike Ninomiya and his lovely wife Diana Ninomiya. Both of whom have been certified to teach in Denver Public Schools in the Radiant Beginnings enrichment program. We have a wide variety of activities involved besides martial arts and yoga; West African drumming and chess workshops are two other focuses mixed into this camp designed to bring fun, focus and stress management in the mind body realm. Our campers have so much fun and leave with tremendous knowledge and focus. Reserve your spot early because we fill up fast! Margie Harryman and Molly Sparling will be teaching shortened versions of their Bible studies based on Titus 2:3-5. The adult study will be lead by Margie while a simultaneous study for teen girls will be lead by Molly. Come and be refreshed and renewed!

Deep Space Robot Explorers - Goleta Presbyterian Church
During this week, we take campers to the edge of the universe on a variety of missions to make a distant planet habitable for humans. Campers explore the real science behind NASAs plan for Martian colonies and accompanying engineering design activities tied into space exploration. Deep Space Robot Explorers curriculum, Terraformers, has been developed by Carnegie Mellon Universitys Robot Academy. Using MINDSTORMS NXT and Terraformers software, along with videos and animations, campers learn programming, tackle building challenges, and hone their robotic and project planning skills. As an extra bonus, campers construct and launch two of their very own Estes Rockets. We are on our way to the final frontier! *Please note that if a camper has taken our Deep Space Camp or has extensive experience with NXT Mindstorm, they can register for our Advanced LEGO EV3 Robotics camp. 805-570-1988

The Carr Elite Football Camps offer a unique learning experience for players of all ages and positions. Super Bowl Champion David Carr and Oakland Raiders Pro Bowler, QB Derek Carr, have created a football camp dedicated to improving not only the physical, but also the mental side of football. They bring an experienced staff made up of coaches from Division 1 Collegiate Schools and at the Professional Level. Sessions are open for QBs, Receivers, DBs, OLs, and all other positions. Each participant will receive a Carr Elite T-Shirt, signed 8x10 of Derek and David Carr, and a Carr Elite Football Water Bottle. 408-896-1470
Riverwalkers - Bluff Lake Nature Center
River Walkers will explore the waterfalls, creek beds, and shaded pools of the Sand Creek to investigate how all of life needs and uses water. Campers will discover how the birds, mammals, bugs, and crawfish of Bluff Lake interact with its water sources through hands-on activities, animal encounters, and expert presentations. Campers will have the chance to measure, draw, observe, and play with water as they perform water quality testing, sail boats and build their own dams. Prepare to get wet, meet some aquatic creatures, and have a blast! All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time.
