From Saturday Night Live, to Second City, to classic TV comedy shows such as Carol Burnett and films such as Monty Python, comedy sketch has always been an important form of acting. Saturday Theater will present a series of classic comedy scenes featuring these classics. We will present infamous sketches from Carol Burnetts comedy show such as the Gone with the Breeze scene, As the Stomach Turns soap opera as well as Old Folks. We will do spoofs on famous TV shows such as Gypardy with Alex Payback, Star Schmeck with Schlock, Scooty, & Captain Quirk, Lifestyles of the Drab and Ridiculous. Other sketches include Lisa & Leonardo, Barbie and Ken break-up, & the Ninja Sisters and more. Its a wonderful way to develop characterizations, timing, improvisation on the scene, and developing a totally creative approach to acting, playing it straight to bring off the comedy 302 239-2434 x120

Lets Put On a Show! (Reworked for 2016!) Monday-Thursdays, July 18-28, 9:00am-12:00pm NOTE: Extended days -- July 27 and 28 9:00am-4:00pm (Dress Rehearsals) Performance -- July 28, 4:00pm Bernardsville Middle School Cafeteria Stage Dream big and be a part of this camp experience offered by Music in the Somerset Hills! Lets Put On a Show! is designed to help young, aspiring singers and actors learn new skills for the musical theater stage. During the program, you will spend time learning how to create a character through your singing and acting, develop your songs into a story, and dance with fresh choreography designed specifically for you! Led by Jennifer Foose (Director of Musicals and Vocal Music at Cedar Grove High School), you will perform the best age-appropriate repertoire and learn how to choose songs that best suit your unique voice and needs. Each day will be spent on individual and group work, and the week-long session will culminate with a showcase performance on the final day which will include some of the scenes and songs learned throughout the program. For Boys and Girls Ages 4-12 years old 9AM-4:00PM CHOOSE ANY 3 FULL DAYS This program offers children a chance to participate in many different sports such as basketball, soccer, floor hockey, volleyball, and other physical education type activities.
