The IDEAL School and Kids Creative are partnering again to offer a third year of after school enrichment courses and supervised play activities for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, Monday through Friday. Kids Creative has been running after school programs throughout New York City for 16 years and is excited to continue the growing relationship with The IDEAL School, its students, families, and community. Our Fall 2015 Class Offerings Every afternoon, we will offer at least one class as well as free play. MARTIAL ARTS (Monday – Grades K-5) Ever wanted to be a ninja? Build strength, confidence and agility in our martial arts class. This class combines traditional martial arts moves with fun and exciting games. Each class includes activities with lessons on respect, discipline, self-control, concentration and goal setting. CHESS CLUB (Tuesday – Grades K-5) Build your brainpower! Students will play chess, learning the basics, building on their game playing, and honing their individual chess skills. This unique instruction is supportive as students learn to play together, have fun, and build strategy and concentration. Students are also invited to attend weekend chess tournaments. Exploring Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Through the Art of Glass Blowing and Flameworking Join Ignite Glass Studios for an end of Summer experience like no other! Teens ages 13-17 will work with Ignites’ experienced instructors to learn the arts of Glass Blowing, Solid Sculpting, and Flameworking. No prior glass experience necessary. Each student will create at least 3 finished glass projects, blown and/or solid during the session. $350 per person

INSTRUCTOR: JOEY CASEY We offer full day mini-sessions of classes for kids 5-11 when they are break from school. In these classes, students explore subjects such as weaving, sewing, embroidery, printing, felting and dyeing. Each day is dedicated to a full project, and supplemented with organized play time. Beginners and experienced wrestlers alike will be challenged at this camp. This technique camp will provide instruction on stance, level changing, circling, shooting and sprawling. High school students attending the camp will work on leg riding offense and defense, throws and throw defense, rolls, advance shot defense, scoring from an offensive position, and mental toughness. This camp will run Mondays only. Please note our new cancellation policy. A 50% fee of the cost of the camp shall be applied to an individual who cancels.
