Indoor Rock Climbing: Base Camp (66604A) - Cary Academy
Harness up and get ready for an adventure-fueled week of fitness and fun at Triangle Rock Club. Find your adventurous side and strengthen your abilities while conquering over 27,000 square feet of climbing terrain. We will reach new heights as we climb, boulder, work as a team, and even climb blindfolded! No previous climbing experience is required. Outdoor Adventure Skills - St. Paul Gym
Are you ready to learn what it takes to be an Outdoor Adventurer?! Spend the week learning how to pack a backpack like a pro, work as a team to navigate using map and compass, cook over an open fire you built yourself, and basic shelter construction using a tarp and Para cord. Youll spend time learning how to meal plan and what equipment is needed for a trip, as well as how to read the weather. The Outward Bound staff will help you escape to nature and survive with ease. This camp includes two field trips to put all of your new skills to the test! An additional waiver is required with registration. All registrants agree to the policies and procedures of Youth Programs, including change fees, cancellation fees, deadlines, and other details found in the program materials and parent handbook. Wonderful Monsters Mixed Media (A.M.) with Erin Lea-Dougherty - Westerly Creek Elementary (Art Room)
Teachers: Erin Lea-Dougherty In this week-long camp, students will be developing cute little monsters, their habitats, altering old books to tell the story of their monster, and more. Back to School Boot Camp (2nd-3rd grades) - 801 Magnolia
Back to School Boot Camp: Second and Third Grade CurriculumGet your mind and body fit for the school year with this unique experience. Join Mr. Chad Hamilton and Mr. Ben Spencer, both credentialed teachers, for their Back to School Boot Camp! The program combines academic tutoring and athletic activities. Reading, writing, and math skill building will be alternated with athletic activities to prepare incoming second, third, fourth, fifth & sixth graders. All curriculum will be aligned with Common Core Standards. Students will be given optional homework, needed literature and academic materials. Parents will be given an opportunity to share their childs needs prior to the camps introduction so curriculum can be individualized. Students will use the athletic activities and games to guide academic projects. Think calculating averages, graphing and sport related literature. Boot Campers will receive one-on-one and small group instruction!
