Things are coming into place fast for Bethel's Student ministry, Beta Sigma, to have our very own summer camp, designed specificaly by and for Bethel students and their friends. Many exciting details are still falling into place, but some very important ones are already set: - Our worship band for the whole week is The Hardcastles, our camp worship band for the last two years at Camp Eagle. - Our speaker is former hockey player, youth evangelist and long time youth pastor, Shawn Roberts, who has spoken to thousands upon thousand of students and seen thousands come to know Christ. - Activities we know we'll have: river tubing, swimming, gaga ball, ulimate, football, hiking, square dancing, bow and arrow tag, airsoft, bonfires, small group talks, team challenges, camp challenges... - Best of all, we'll be serivng the community and the camp throughout the week doing service project. - So many more things to come, shirts, journals, themed meals and more...we'll keep you updated as things move. This will not be a camp you or your friends want to miss. Early registration starts in January for Middle School and in Febuary for High School...
Kid's do Strollfit - Norman, OK
Second annual kids do Strollfit class. All kids are welcome to bring their baby stroller, lawn mower, anything they can push and they will do their own Strollfit class. Prizes will be given for best decorated vehicle/push item. I will assign older kids an exercise to teach to the other kids (generally 4 and up). Moms, please help them and practice with them. If you have a younger one that would like to teach, let me know and I will add them. Don't want to exclude any who wants to teach!! Be sure you bring your camera. This is the cutest class of they year!! The week includes lessons and services geared for teens with the theme "Glow in the Dark," games, music and arts, swimming, and an incredible time with friends. Spring Peepers: March 24th Listen for me on a spring night, on a wet night, on a rainy night. Listen for me on a still night, For in the night, I sing. (by Joyce Sidman). Campers hop in to our pond and join us as we celebrate our awesome amphibians. Slimey salamanders, fantastic frogs, toadally cool toads will come out to play. We will take a hike to our local pond and muck about searching for spring peepers. Hop to it, you dont want to miss our frog races. Campers will make frogalicious snacks and funky frog crafts. Every week will include individual projects along with group projects and a chance for everyone to explore their creative abilities!Age/Grades: This camp is for students entering 1st through 5th grade in September. Summit Football July 25-29 - Summit School
Summit Football July 25-29 Rising 3rd, 4th & 5th 9am-2pm Campers will learn fundamentals to be successful in football. The morning will focus on drills to improve throwing, catching, running, kicking, punting, as well as offensive and defensive positions. The afternoon will be filled with flag football games to put all of the fundamentals together. Campers would be encouraged to bring sneakers, cleats, shorts, hats, water bottles and a t-shirt. Mr. Mihalko was part of two high school championships and one national championship at the University of Notre Dame under Lou Holtz. The winning is not the focus of this camp. All our activities will be conducted with safety in mind. We will focus on fundamentals and fun! (336) 722-2777
