The San Jose Museum of Art, full-day art camps offer in-depth art experiences for South Bay youth. Our campers gain access to the Museums galleries outside of normal operating hours as they discover artistic design principles through drawing, painting, and sculpting techniques! Led by Museum faculty and inspired by our current exhibitions, the Museums popular Art Camps teach kids how to look at, talk about, and create their own art. Each student receives an art supply kit containing all the materials they need, and the camp culminates in a one-day public exhibition of student work. Young artists explore drawing, painting mixed media, sculpture, and design as they visit the galleries to gather inspiration from exhibited artwork. Teens ages 13-17 will work with Ignites’ experienced instructors to learn the arts of Glass Blowing, Solid Sculpting, and Flameworking. No prior glass experience necessary. Each student will create at least 3 finished glass projects, blown and/or solid during the session. $350 per person

Students will be accessed at their math level, then work to strengthen and improve their math ability, skills, and understanding. Using computer programs, games, and a variety of hands-on techniques, students will review decimals, fractions, order of operations, basic math facts, and algebraic expressions and equations. 1-831-422-6391
635AM: Fundamentals of Programming and Introduction to JavaScript - NextGen Tech Learning
This camp does not require any prior programming knowledge or experience. JavaScript is a one of the most used, easy to learn, dynamic programming language. In this programming camp, students will first learn the fundamentals of programming and then move on to learn programming concepts using JavaScript including variables, datatype, conditional statements, basic loops, strings, functions etc. 925-659-8000

Students will be incorporating literature into art projects. Various art media are explored, including pencil, crayon, marker, colored pencil, chalk, stencils, collage, watercolor, tempera, color mixing, and printmaking. 206-957-1533
Digital Music Composition - The Evergreen School
A class which combines technology and music. Students will explore music creation with PC computer technology. Lessons include learning audio looping, generating digital sounds from scratch, voice recording, mixing tracks together, and much more. Students will be able to experiment with programs such as Magix Music Maker and Sony Acid Music Studio (both similar to Apples Garage Band). The class week ends where each child has created their own CD, or individual mp3s, to bring home and share with friends and family. 206-957-1533
Summer BLAST! - 3 weeks - Oakwood
For children entering 2nd-6th grade: SUMMER BLAST! at Oakwood is an afternoon program designed to engage children in enriching, entertaining, and educational activities, and runs from 1:30–4:30 pm. Children may enroll in Summer BLAST! even if theyre not enrolled in the morning Summer Arts Academy program. If a child is enrolled in the morning Summer Arts Academy program, he/she will have a supervised lunchtime from 12:45–1:30 pm each day, and will need to bring a lunch. During the first session of the afternoon the children will be divided by age into two groups and will rotate between the two classes offered that week. During the second session students choose between Sports Club, Book Club, or Tennis Club. Students may enroll in one, two or all three weeks. The classes during the first session change each week.
