We always get asked if small clear comb jellies sting. The answer is no - instead of using stinging cells they use sticky cells and you cant get stuck unless you are a tiny planktonic animal. Lets explore these super-cool, glow in the dark, barely there jellies of the ocean. Lets have a floating race using only our fingers fluttering like cilia. Lets get sticky and capture our own food. Lets collect plankton (the comb jellys favorite food) with a plankton tow and look at it under a microscope. Lets go on a night beach walk and look for bioluminescence. (239) 472-8585

My daugher and son like the science and art at this camp
My 5 year old daughter loved Camp Galileo. Since they group children by ages, she got to meet other children with similar interests. She was having so much fun she didn’t realize she was also learning about science and art. My 9 year old son enjoyed the outdoor activities. His favorite game was playing Star Wars tag. Pricing this year will be the same as last year, $15 per person per night for tenters ( 1 wrist band ) $33 per night for rvs 20/50 amp (2 wrist bands included) $59 queen cabin per night (3 wrist bands) $79 king cabin per night (4 wrist bands). As of now the Dry Creek Store is closed, so please bring extra food and supply's that you might need during your stay! We will keep you informed about any changes as we learn them.

This overnight camp is for ages 7-13 and runs Sunday night through Friday at 4:30 p.m. It is a summer favorite featuring outdoor activities, hiking, camping and cooking outdoors. Of course, this camp also includes the all-time favorites of basic swimming instruction, archery, songs, fishing, gaga pit, bouldering wall, crafts, games, kayaking and campfires. 231 768 4351
Writing & Journalism - Montessori Academy at Vickery
During Writing and Journalism, students will have the opportunity to write and thoroughly edit and review 1-2 creative writing pieces (such as poems, short stories, novel excerpts, short plays or play excerpts, memoir, personal essay, etc.) Students will learn the art of interviewing and will also be given the opportunity to work through some aspects of the publication process by spending the last day of class compiling handmade class books. 770-777-9131
