40 Years of Camp Goddard - Reunion (SouthMac) - Sulphur, OK
This is a TENTATIVE event page to see who would be interested in heading to Goddard Youth Camp for a weekend in June 2016. Please invite everyone that you know who has attended "Camp Goddard" through South MacArthur Church of Christ to like this event and the Facebook page. This Reunion will be open to all ages and families are encouraged to come together! There is enough cabin space for 210 people. Cabin spaces will be available in groups of 10 on a first come, first served basis. Restrictions: Older couples or those with major medical issues will be given cabin preference if they would prefer not to sleep in tents/RV's. Camping with tents/RV's will be a slightly cheaper option than cabins because we may be expecting more than 210 people. Admission is $2 and that includes admission to the aqua park and splash pad + FREE sunscreen station + FREE snacks + FREE bottled water. We'll also have a pool noodle obstacle course set up for you to try. If you complete it, you can get your name on the leader board and be eligible to win cool prizes!
Clark Youth Theatre Summer Camp Sign Ups - Tulsa, OK
Clark Youth Theatre will hold a series of summer Theatre Camps at the Henthorne Performing Arts Center. Enrollment begins Saturday, April 2nd at 8:30am. Each two-week camp includes classes on acting, dancing, and other performance skills. This is a great opportunity for children ages 8-14 who are interested in theatre and performing arts. Campers must have completed the second grade. The cost is $225 per session. The remaining dates for summer Theatre Camp are: Session 1: June 6-17 Session 2: June 20-July 1 Session 3: July 5-15 Session 4: July 18-29 Session 5: Aug 1-12 Classes are 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The camp also offers early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 5:30 p.m. for an additional $25 fee. Campers must bring a sack lunch each day. Multi sport camps are designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports on one setting. In this class, we combine Baseball and Basketball into one fun filled program. Participants will learn the essential rules and skills of each sport, along with vital life lessons such as respect and teamwork. This camp is a great way for dancers to have the opportunity to try many types of dance. Each class will begin with a warm-up stretch and flexibility workout. The, 30 minutes of each class will be dedicated to ballet technique, which is the root of all dance styles. The students will explore new styles of dance. Monday and Wednesday will be dedicated to Lyrical, Tuesday and Thursday will be dedicated to Jazz and Hip Hop. Each day the students will finish class working on a small dance piece that they will perform for parents on the last day of camp. Campers will learn the ways of the medieval world as they experience a week in the life of a knight in training. Campers will learn about medieval history, mythology, European martial arts, woodcraft, and a whole host of skills necessary for survival in the medieval world on the path to becoming a knight. The foundation of the camp will be learning the knightly art of combat with the two-handed longsword. Campers will use specially constructed training swords with nylon blades and safety equipment to learn the fighting techniques of the German style of longsword combat. Over the week, we will evolve our training to the modern Olympic sword comparing the lives then, and the lives now of modern heroes. Offered in partnership with Midsouth Fencers Club 9194932642.0

This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.The Junior Theater Camp is designed for all students, whether or not they have prior performance experience. Campers work with theater professionals learning techniques in acting, singing, and dancing as they rehearse for their original show. This fun performance is a culmination of their work and features acting scenes and musical numbers. Actors present the show for family and friends on the last day of camp, August 12 at 11:30 am and 6:30 pm on the stage in Beck Centers Music & Dance Building Recital Hall. Information concerning performances and tickets is distributed the first day of camp. Students are required to participate in both performances. 3 weeks; Mon - Fri; 12:30 - 2:30 pm; Tuition: $270 (Does not include admission to performances) Tickets to the performances are $5 each. Performance seating is limited. There is a 30-minute informational orientation for parents and students on the first day of camp.
