No. Will we write similes about the smell of a campfire, or lengthy descriptions of that one camp counselor who wears knee socks and a fanny pack? Perhaps. Join Kirsten Casey for five days of writing delight: creating poetry, characters, flash fiction pieces, and more. We will write everyday from 1-4 using a variety of prompts, strengthening our attention to detail, sharing our work, and eating candy. This camp is for experienced campers who have been playing Minecraft. Minecraft™ has taken the world by storm with its block-building, digital game design that allows players to build, explore, create, collaborate, and even survive. With no set rules, you can build anything you can possibly imagine. During this 5-day adventure, campers will learn different modes of playing. They will use cool mods as they escape monsters, build amazing structures, create maps, mine the world under their feet, climb the tallest mountains, and utilize robotic turtles to manipulate the vast world around them. They will learn real coding techniques to program their turtles to accomplish tasks while working as a team with other campers to unleash their creativity! Drivers Education - Bolles San Jose Campus
This course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours of actual driving time, and 12 hours of "in-car" observation. The first two weeks will consist of classroom instruction from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Athletic Conference room. Students will be asked to choose a driving session to comply with state requirements. There are two sessions to choose from, with no more than 9 allowed per session. Session I: June 27 - July 8 Session II: July 11 - July 21 All students must attend this segment to comply with State of Florida requirements. Before the students actual driving session, the student must have at least a restricted license. Within each driving session, there will be a driving group that will drive for an hour and a half each day for the two-week period. Similar driving experience will help determine the composition of each group. DIGIVATIONS Camp Demigods Camp Fandom and Demigod Institute are a blend of world building through innovation, role playing and speculative fiction. These Camps are based on the principles that kids have an enormous reservoir of creativity and innovative ideas which they look forward to sharing with other like-minded individuals who hold common interests. Please register using a computer. Please do not use a tablet or smart phone when you register because the program will not work properly. The registration process takes about an hour and asks you to answer about 50 questions.
