Join us for lots of camp fun this summer season! Kiddie camp is a week long structured camp for children ages 3-5. Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, games, daily swim lessons, and more! Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors teaches all swim lessons, and all camp staff are CPR certified. A daily snack will be provided, and children will enjoy a pizza party on Fridays. All children must be potty trained. All camps take place at Pierce Park Pool. All Children must be potty trained! Have them dressed in their swim suits when they come to camp. Bring towels. The year 2015 will mark the 48th year that Saint Marys College will be offering outstanding Athletic Summer Camps to children between the ages of 6-18. Capoiera THURS (grades 3-8) - University City Arts League
Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influences. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for leg sweeps. Students work on physical coordination, group awareness, and communication. Students are recommended ( but not required) to take both the Monday and Thursday classes to get the most out of this program.
