TBA camps are designed for all climbing levels. Kids will learn a variety of climbing skills such as body awareness, technique, and problem reading through fun games and activities. Specialty Camp Week 1: Chopped - Westminster School
Vendor: Tiny Chefs Chopped! Never have food challenge reality shows been so popular and Chopped! is a favorite here at Tiny and Gourmet Chefs! We like it so much we decided to base a whole week long camp on the concept. Our version has the added twist of focusing on different cuisines every day of camp. So, each day the Tiny and Gourmet Chef campers will be presented with a basket with 3 or 4 ingredients, which reflect these different cuisines—French, Italian, Mexican, Asian and All-American. Using those ingredients and working within those cuisines, they will challenge themselves to make mouthwatering specialties, traditional favorites and explore new ingredients, tastes and combinations. *9 child minimum, 20 maximum (703) 340-7268
Building Brains Lego Engineering 2 (AM) - Bellaire City Hall
Learn to BUILD simple machines using gears, levers and pulleys and then MOTORIZE these machines using LEGO and K?NEX educational kits. Our written Engineering curriculum BUILDS MATH and SCIENCE skills with hands on Kinetic learning techniques. Each day we will build new simple machines and conduct experiments to see how well they perform. STEM CURRICULUM. Students will understand why a machine works and will learn how to manipulate a machine to go faster or slower. Fine motor skills, critical thinking skills; imagination and confidence will increase in this fun-filled class. Our program reinforces the Elementary school math and science curriculum.Half Day students: Please bring a snack and a drink with your childs name clearly marked each day. For youth players aged mite to bantam, learn how to win the 50/50 battles, give and receive a proper body check, and play small area games with Kings Alumnus Jaroslav Modry. Full equipment is required for this clinic and goalies can skate for free on a first come, first serve basis. A week of tennis instruction, practice, games, and activities for intermediate to advanced tennis players. Players will receive individual instruction which will be reinforced by match play later in the morning. We will focus on stroke mechanics, playing strategies, and conditioning.
