Evart Baseball Kid's Camp & Varsity Home Run Derby! - Evart, MI
Kid's Camp is from 9am-11am for players ages 7-15. Cost is $20 to participate and also includes an event t-shirt and a hotdog and a water. Bring your glove!!! Registration is open! Forms will be available in the Evart Middle School office. The Home Run Derby will begin at noon! Contact your favorite Varsity player to purchase a baseball. Teen Writing Matters: A Summer Writing Camp July 18-22 - Grass Valley,
One Session ONLY! Monday – Friday, 1 to 4PM Class limit 20, minimum 8 Students need to bring paper and pens Minimum age: 13 $200 members, $225 non members Will we sing campfire songs? No. Will we write similes about the smell of a campfire, or lengthy descriptions of that one camp counselor who wears knee socks and a fanny pack? Perhaps. Join Kirsten Casey for five days of writing delight: creating poetry, characters, flash fiction pieces, and more. We will write everyday from 1-4 using a variety of prompts, strengthening our attention to detail, sharing our work, and eating candy. Kirsten Casey is a local California Poet in the Schools, who has been teaching creative writing to students in the area for over ten years. She earned her Masters in Creative Writing from San Francisco State, and you can find her work in the anthology Yuba Flows, and her own book of poetry, Ex Vivo: Out of the Living Body. As a teen, Kirsten kept a daily journal, wrote poetry and a play, and enjoyed quoting song lyrics. She loves working with teens because she feels like a teen trapped inside of an adult, and because she never tires...

Junior Winds Camp 7/25-7/29 - New Jersey Youth Symphony
This camp will focus on fundamentals and strengthening the skills of young wind and brass players as well as performance. Students will work on two instruments their "major" instrument that they have been playing, and a "minor" wind or brass instrument of their choosing. Secondary instruments will be provided. The day will start with sectionals and technical fundamentals, after a snack and time playing musical Jeopardy and other games, campers will wrap up playing in the full ensemble. Six months playing experience required. Some 4th graders may be eligible to enroll with director approval. This camp takes place at 570 Central Avenue in New Providence. All STEAM Ahead! - AM - St. Johns Episcopal School
Develop and use STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills to solve problems and create new inventions. This hands-on camp will provide children with great opportunities think outside the box, build, create and invent solutions to problems uncovered through reading trickster tales from around the world as well as other picture books about engineering. Each child will have a journal to work in so that they are able to reflect on their learning.
