Great Family Camp
My girls love Camp Wayfarer and we go every year. It is an action packed camp for both girls and boys. They really cater to families, too. My girls really love the dance activities, but they also learned a lot in the environmental and marine biology portions. They rode horses, learned a lot about the performing arts, they learned tennis this year and next year they want to get more into golf. Nasimco Youth Leadership Retreat 2016 - Fruitland Park, FL
NASIMCO is pleased to announce the 2016 Youth Leadership Retreat with the theme of “Thinking Outside the Box: Making Your Voice Count!” This year the retreat will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida. It is an initiative led by youth with the vision of creating a forum for dialogue to enhance the ability of participants to think outside the box, engage in self-reflection, become socially conscious and have the confidence to act upon it in their local and global communities. This year’s retreat is hosted by the Husseini Islamic Center of Florida, INC. at the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp in sunny Fruitland Park, Florida. The retreat will combine facilitated workshops, debates, dialogue and recreational activities in order to optimize learning opportunities for all participants. It will take place during the Labour Day weekend, from September 2nd to September 5th, 2016. The intended participants are all youth ages 18 to 25. Registration is USD $200.00 per participant, which includes food, lodging, and ground transportation within Orlando. Spaces at the retreat are limited to 30 participants. It happened so fast! Only two months till Illage Summer Camp Year SIX! Can't believe it! We have so much magic in store for you this year at Camp! SO MUCH!! And on June 30th you have a chance to help us make that magic happen! We will be hosting a Karaoke Raffle Fundraiser Kickoff Party for Camp at everyones favorite karaoke dive bar, Chopsticks 3!! This is our chance to reunite, generate momentum, raise funds, and sing duets about it. There will be a Raffle with heaps of incredibly thoughtful and inspired Gift Certificates and Prizes for the winning! Donations gladly accepted as well! Fundamentals of Acting with Randi Klein - Sol Acting Academy Performance Space
Similar to Acting Technique One this class gives a strong foundation to acting, whether working on camera or on stage. The fundamentals of what it takes to be an actor are explored using games, processes, script and monologue work. Appropriate for beginners as well as those with experience. Summer Camp @ Washington Park Group A (6-7) - Washington Park
Neighborhood Park Camp at Washington Park is a traditional, high-quality camp that is fun and affordable. Activities include arts and crafts, physical fitness games and challenges, dance, visits to the library, enrichment activities and swimming. Campers play basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball. Instruction is also offered in golf and tennis. Campers are escorted to Robinson Park Recreation Centers swimming pool for recreational swim two times per week. Staff go into the water with the campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Fun field trips are often the highlight of the week. Trips are an additional charge and are scheduled for once a week. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like sports and group activities. The ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Campers are grouped by age, and lunch and a snack are provided. Camp culminates in the annual War Games in which Washington Park Camp and La Pintoresca Park Camps compete in a series of challenges to determine an annual camp champion.
