We are USPTA & PTR certified and heavily involved with the USTA NorCal in 12 & Under tennis, Jurnior Team Tennis, the Coaches Commision, and are a Certified USTA Schools trainer. Our goal is to positively impact young people to ensure character development and the mastery of life skills through instruction in the game of tennis. KidSport Afternoon: Tennis & Golf, 6/27 - 7/1 - Scarlett Middle School
[] KidSport Afternoon: Tennis and Golf Each week features a different sport teaching basic fundamentals skills, rules, team building and sportsmanship and open swimming time. Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology. Campers bring snacks and water. Afternoons, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Drop-off. Staff will pick-up your camper from your car at 1:00 PM and bring your camper to your car at 4:00 PM. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids! Step Into Sewing (Audrey Oberman) This project-based 3 hour camp-day (x5 days) will start with the basics so no experience is needed! Campers will work at their own individual pace and may choose from several smaller projects like a needle book and pincushion and then work on a larger project throughout the week, or a mixture of both! They will learn how to thread machines, sew straight seams and iron them, as well as some different techniques for finishing seams, and how to add closures (snaps, buttons, zippers, ties) to projects. More experienced campers may choose to learn how to cut from a pattern and make a simple garment such as pajama shorts. During all weeks...New children: will work on the basics and pick special projects and team up with the experts. Returning children: will be able to continue with what they heave learned, re-make favorites. NEED: labeled water bottle, snack, lunch and shopping bag to hold projects. Helpful if camper has own NAME-LABELED sewing machine, sewing box, but not required. Ikea has a great machine for $60 if you are looking to invest in one before or after camp. 7604029969.0
Nature School- Session 5 - Chico Creek Nature Center
Nature School is a first learning experience in nature. It is a drop off program designed for Pre K, TK and Kindergartners. Young first graders may also enjoy this class. All children should be potty trained and ready for an experience away from their family. Our teachers are happy to help facilitate "goodbyes" as is often needed with this age. Children learn about nature, letters, numbers, colors and shapes through crafts, songs, games, animal visits and guided exploration of the park. The teacher is trained in and uses curriculum from Growing Up Wild that meets state standards in science, literacy, math, art and STEM. Each class has a different theme. For optimum learning a full year of participation is encouraged. Classes are broken into 6 Wednesday sessions. Limited to 16 students with a ratio of 1 teacher to 8 children. The program runs 11am to 2pm. We recommend your family joins us for Natures ABCs that is 10 to 11am to help in the drop off transition. Description: There is nothing like stepping out onto the Sheakley Athletic Complex under the lights. Our Friday Night Lights Camp is an up-tempo evening of football with the Cincinnati Coaching Staff and top college coaches from the Midwest. This camp will be held at our practice complex under the lights, simulating a game day environment. Campers will go through combine style testing demos, position drills, 1-on-1 drills, speed drills, and on field competitions focusing on proper techniques and fundamentals. All One Day Camps feature in person instruction by the University of Cincinnati Football Coaches, along with many other coaches from FBS, FCS, Division II, and Division III level Colleges. A Member of the Cincinnati Football Staff will lead each Position. Camp is open to football players going into Grades 9 to 12in the fall of 2016, CHECK IN/CHECK OUT PROCEDURES • Check In – Friday, June 3, 2016 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., Linder Athletic Center • Closing Remarks – 7:00 pm., Sheakley Athletic Complex WHAT TO BRING • Any special shoes you may use.
