LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Boys Sports Camp with Coach Tom Myran - Germantown Friends School
The focus of Boys Sports Camp is on learning and competing in team sports, including basketball, soccer, baseball, flag football, floor hockey, and volleyball. In addition, campers also will take part in a variety of traditional games such as dodge and whiffle ball as well as individual sports such as tennis, wrestling, and track and field. Team-building, self-awareness and interpersonal skills will also be a focus. Our passionate and professional coaching team under the leadership of GFS Boys Varsity Track Coach Tom Myran will help participants become more skillful and confident athletes. Even more importantly, campers will have a terrific time making new friends and bonding with their upper school athlete-counselors whose job it is to reinforce the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and doing ones best on a daily basis. Swims at the Germantown Cricket Club add to the summertime fun! Bus transportation is available to and from Center City for $100 provided 17 campers sign-up on or before June 1 for transportation during the week of June 20 - 24. 215-951-2384

GCSML Summer Camp EXPO - Colleyville, TX
Wondering what fun things there are for your young children to do this summer? Come explore first hand several Summer Camp programs offered for preschool and elementary-aged kids by local businesses in the Grapevine, Colleyville, and Southlake areas. From cooking class to sports and art to education, plan an awesome summer your kids won't forget! Hosted by the GCS Mom's League, a non-profit organization aiming to support moms and their families through friendship, resources, and service. Youth Softball & Baseball Fundamentals Camp by Josh Newman - South Web
Instructor : Josh Newman currently the Assistant Baseball Coach for Marshall University and formerly with the Colorado Rockies and the KC Royals. This camp is open to all boys and girls, ages 7-12 in all school districts. Josh will be covering the fundamentals of the game for softball and baseball. Advance Registration and payment must be received no later than June 6th to guarantee a spot at camp and a tshirt. *Early Registration is $35 per athlete and must be received by June 1st and includes lunch and a tshirt. *after June 1st Group registration of 10 or more players for $45 per player and $40 for siblings. Each group of 10 will receive the 11th player free. We request that your 11th player be need based. Individual Registration fees are $50 for the first child and $40 for each additional child in the same family. Please make checks payable to South Webster Little League. Exploring Nature Camp - Churchill Park
Outdoor exploration and basics of ecology are the focus of this week. Well explore the woods, prairie and wet areas. Campers will roll logs looking for slugs and centipedes and learn why dark, damp places are important. Theyll wade in the water to net tadpoles and frogs - discovering that muddy and polluted water are different. Well crawl through the tall grasses to get a bugs eye view of the world. This is a hands-on, mind-on, and mud-on camp! A detailed letter will be sent prior to camp. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please be sure to bring a water bottle, snack, and apply sunscreen.
