Amplify your childs interest in electronics with this exciting camp! Kids tinker with switches, LEDs, buzzers and wire to create a series of simple circuits that form the foundation for exciting DIY designs. Projects such as Electronic Quiz and Burglar Alarm generate excitement while campers explore concepts ranging from conductivity to solar power! And yes, Playdoh is conductive! Through exploration in magical kingdoms and enchanted forests, our children will be enjoying each others company nature acting as princesses, princes, leprechauns, and fairies. Well be getting dirty this week! Well be dancing, creating costumes, enjoying tea parties, all while caring for the flora and fauna around us because well be in nature. This is a class of storybook creative drama out in nature. Your child is more than welcome to bring in any pre-made costumes he/she already has for participation, we will also be supplying costumes. Equestrian Camps - Horseback Riding - Camp Olympia
Children will ride twice a day 4 times per week, swim every day, and do various unmounted horse activities including leading horses, unsaddling, grooming, bathing, cleaning tack, plus general barn responsibilities. There is no riding on Thursdays (horses much deserved day off- try running around in 90+ degree weather with a fur coat on), but the kids will have unmounted horse activities such as those listed above and have the opportunity to play Camp Game, traditional favorite. Long pants, smooth, hard soled shoes, bathing suit, towel, and lunch are needed every day. All camp forms must be completed and received by Camp Olympia before camper can attend this program. Junior scientists will explore a different science topic each day based on the books of award winning childrens author, Eric Carle. Finding the science in beloved literature, such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar or The Mixed-Up Chameleon engages even the youngest scientist through experiments, activities and science related crafts! 513-612-5786
Dog Trick Week 7 - Animal Training Adventure Center
Dog Trick Training is a great way to have fun with your dog, and it allows campers to open up a genuine form of two-way communication between them and their dog. Trick training also helps build confidence in dogs and their handlers; and the more tricks you teach, the faster your dog will learn each new skill. Each session will focus on learning a series of three dog tricks, with bonus learning opportunities for exceptionally skilled dogs. This session will utilize training skills and techniques developed by Kyra Sundance, a world-acclaimed Stunt Dog Show performer, celebrity dog trainer, and internationally bestselling author. Campers will have the opportunity to learn and practice advanced dog training skills in order to train their dog to perform tricks. Campers can choose to train their own dog, or they can work with a rescue puppy or dog available at camp. Dogs must be able to focus on their owner and work around other dogs.
