The program emphasizes psychological dimensions such as motivation, confidence, leadership, and game smarts. This is a celebration of the DC Reads community and the hard work of students and tutors for the 2015-2016 school year! Students from DC Reads schools will be welcomed to AU for a day filled with fun activities "around the world" and will end with a book fair and dinner in TDR! Movement & Art Camp - Friendswood, TX
Kid Creations & Bay Area Pilates are teaming up for another 3-hour Movement & Art Camp. Kids will have FUN learning the benefits of pilates in a choreographed-for-kids pilates class for one hour and then will be escorted down the sidewalk to Kid Creations for two hours of arts and crafts. Snacks will be provided. Workshops can be attended separately. The cost is $45 for both. To come to Kid Creations alone from 1:00-3:00pm, the cost is $30. You MUST pre-register because space is limited. Call soon! These events always fill up quickly!

Mariners (WAITLIST) M-F ($465 for 2 weeks, Members) - Nantucket Yacht Club
NOTE: Please only register for this session if you cannot select the dates on the Mariners M-F session you wish to have your child attend. Formerly Beginner Sailing. Please choose 2 weeks minimum. This class is taught in Rhodes 19s, Capri 14s, and Optimists. Mariners is designed to give the sailor a strong fundamental base of sailing skills such as rigging, tacking, gybing, sail trim, hiking, and some advanced boat handling. The overall goal is to make the sailor comfortable on the water in varying conditions, while eventually becoming proficient sailing alone in the Opti. Inside the Mariners class, we typically divide into three color groups: Forest Green (Novice), Lime Green (Intermediate Mariner), and Army Green(Advanced Mariner). As the child improves, they will advance through the groups until they are ready for Whalers. *Please note that the 2005 Mariner class is for those with a birthdate of 2005 or earlier. 508-228-1400

The camp offers students a chance to take in-depth classes in dance, music, theater, visual arts, and creative writing while in an arts rich environment. The camp is open to both New Haven and non-New Haven residents. Located at adjacent Cooperative Arts & Humanities High School, The Shubert Summer Theater & Arts Camp is situated in the heart of downtown New Haven, surrounded by theaters, galleries, and museums. In addition to an arts atmosphere, the camp is staffed by a combination of professional artists, teaching artists, and emerging student-teacher-artists from Cooperative Arts & Humanities High School. 203-624-1825

The Bay Areas finest musical theatre professionals teach kids how to sing, act and dance! This adventurous program explores theatre through collective creation, story development and improvisation. Students also learn about various aspects of technical theatre, such as set construction, painting, costumes and make-up. Guided by their teachers, students share their creativity with parents and friends on the final day of camp. Performance on final day at 3:00 pm. Participants need to bring a bag lunch daily.
