Wednesday - YOUNG REMBRANDTS EN ESPAÑOL-BILINGUAL DRAWING - HoLa Lower School
Our elementary-age curriculum is designed to teach basic to advanced drawing skills, art techniques and vocabulary. Our elementary-age curriculum is designed to teach basic to advanced drawing skills, art techniques and vocabulary. As students are introduced to a new subject matter each week, they learn a variety of art concepts including, Portraiture, Perspective, Still life, Art history, Color theory, Fundamental composition skills, Line and pat-terning and Art vocabulary. Enrolling your child in Young Rembrandts will provide them with a comprehensive art literacy that serves them well not just at the drawing table, but in school and on into adulthood. (201) 427-1458

Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Along the way students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. No programming experience is necessary but doing common tasks on a computer is useful. Who knows, maybe you have the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs living in your house and you never knew it! We will also realize why some math problems always lead to the same answers, how math plays a role in everyday situations, and why are numbers universal.
