Mobile Game Design-Gayton Baptist - Gayton Baptist Church
Theres no faster or easier way to develop games for your mobile device than with Construct 2 software. We will teach campers how to use its visual, drag & drop interface and complex behavior library, which provides almost limitless freedom to game designers. Campers can bring their mobile game ideas to life in no time at all with no coding!th-3 Test your game utilizing the previewer and then get ready to publish to all supported targets, including iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle, Nook, Windows 8, and Mac desktop. Campers will be provided with a laptop to construct their games. They will have an opportunity to save those games and add them to their devices on Friday at camp, or at home if they wish. It is not necessary that they bring a device to camp. 678-294-9504
August 1-11: Backpacking/ Digital Storytelling (Ages 13-16) - Mountain Kids!
We are psyched to bring our dual passions for getting into nature and documenting our adventures to Mountain Kids! Campers will spend the first day learning what it takes to makes a compelling video, composition and audio recording. Campers will then learn how to prepare and pack for a backpacking trip, the 6 Ws of preparing for any outdoor trip, map reading and leave no trace principles. We will spend time writing and creating stories on a two night backpacking trip. During the second week, campers will share their time between the recording studio, the computer lab and getting outside to create a 2-3 minute video of their adventures. On Thursday evening we will celebrate with a screening of their work. Equipment Needed: • Backpacking pack, sleeping pad, a sleeping bag, and a mess kit (bowl, fork, spoon, cup). Some campers will need a tent to share. • A small camera or phone to capture stills and video • A small notebook and a pencil (There is an additional $25 materials fee in addition to camp tuition) 505-699-6230

Do sharks make you shudder? These fascinating and powerful animals live in our oceans. In this class, you can "safely" explore shark names, anatomy, foods and other interesting facts through science experiments and "sharky" projects. Identify and investigate animals of Yellowstone! Observe and compare predator and prey relationships in a safe and FUN environment. Participate in the Keeper Kids program at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center and spend a night in West Yellowstone! Price includes Thursdays overnight and all fees. 406-582-0526

Loudoun County League serves to provide a school affiliated opportunity for high school players in Loudoun County. You can also register for the Spring Clinics.
