Bring your creativity, enthusiasm, and community spirit as we spend a week immersed in woodworking! Campers will learn about a variety of tools and techniques as they turn original project ideas into reality. Students will also participate in a service project partnering with students at the St. Aquinas Center in South Philly. Possible projects may include constructing a stool, a box, a bookshelf, birdhouse, musical instrument, a game, and more! Campers will work individually and collaboratively to plan, measure, cut, build, and decorate their projects using basic hand tools. Safety and proper use of protective eyewear will be stressed at all times, as campers work with saws, drills, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers. Woodworking experience is not required; all that is needed is a desire to learn new skills and have fun! Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am. Wonderful Program
Before settling on the 4-H Center for our daughter's summer camp we had the chance to take a tour. We were very impressed. The bunkrooms were spotless. Although I can only imagine what will happen when the kids move in! They have a full program that is sure to keep the kids busy and challenged throughout their stay. 3B. Summer Camp - Build Your Own Computer-4 Days - Gizmos & Gadgets Kids Lab
In this hands-on investigation, kids will learn how a computer works by building a simple Raspberry Pi computer. Once the building is done, the fun continues while kids create their own versions of simple games and code in Minecraft on the computer they just built. We will have plenty of time off the computer as well when kids have the chance to learn and test game design and programming through active play. Kids keep their Raspberry Pi mini computer, WiPi, keyboard and all cables, as well as all their projects that they have compiled during the week! (858)964-0645
Cardinal Soccer Camp - Concordia University
The Concordia soccer camp is designed for boys and girls age 5 – 8th Grade who are interested in learning new soccer skills in a fun and competitive environment. Each player will have the chance to learn from and interact with current Cardinal players as well as the coaching staffs from both the Mens and Womens Soccer teams. All of the sessions will focus both on individual development as well as playing with a team in many different positions. Our goal for this camp is to put campers in an environment that they can enjoy the game, but also give them as many opportunities as possible for individual skill development. Campers will learn a variety of cheers, jumps, kicks and movements. We?ll also play fun cheerleading games and decorate crazy uniforms to wear at an exhibition on the last day of camp. Cheerleading camp provide children a highly active endeavor in a non-competitive environment that fosters fun and the development of friendships. Join anytime during the week (fee will be pro-rated). Supplies: Campers should bring a snack and beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed.
