LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Craig Ranch Sports Camp Week 1 - Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch
This camp is a joint venture between Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch and the TPC at Craig Ranch. Brad Ott will utilize his 20+ years of golf training experience to teach children ages 7-16 the basics of golf. Fundamental learning will focus on full-swing (wedges, irons, and woods) and short game (putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker play). Campers will then move on to tennis under the guidance of Head Tennis Pro, Andrew Kaikai and his assistant. This class will lead players in drills to help their general strokes. This class is designed to introduce beginners to the game and improve playing ability through drills, activities, and fun games. After lunch, the campers will jump in Coopers Olympic-sized pool under the direction of Head Swim Pro, Patrick Kennedy and Swim Coach, Mike Howes. This class will serve as an introduction to teach your child the fundamentals or swimming through drills, activities, and fun games. Campers will end the day by participating in agility drills and sports/fitness based games led by one of Cooper Fitness Centers Exercise Specialist. 2143831030.0

Lets create something wonderful in a week at Inventors Camp. Do you love building, concocting and solving problems? We will have open invention time and invention challenges big and small. Inventors Camp brings S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education into the mountains in a fun and new way! Spies and Espionage: The Art of Investigation (44458P) - Cary Academy
Step into the well-worn shoes of a detective or agent and uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis. Explore forensic science through the eyes of crime solvers, using your powers of observation to reveal clues and solve cases. Develop disguises for cover, make and break secret codes, and create and use cool spy gadgets. A local police detective will join us for a discussion and demonstration during the week. 919-677-7839
Wave Runners Day Camp- Session 1 (4th-8th Graders) - Environmental Studies Center
Campers will have lots of fun while learning to care for their environment. Outdoor activities and environmental learning are the focus of this camp. New this year! Snack bar open each morning and ice cream day on Tuesdays. All selections $1.00. Activities include: *A boat trip on the Indian River Lagoon *Seining *Setting up and maintaining aquaria *Area beach and park visits *Fishing *Cast netting *Various water activities *Snorkeling *Arts & Crafts *Games & relay races *Special Friday activities All teachers are state certified and camper/teacher ratio is 20/1. In addition, high school counselors assist teachers with supervision. All water activities are closely monitored. One week minimum, $180.00 per week. A week of tennis instruction, practice, games, and activities for intermediate to advanced tennis players. Players will receive individual instruction which will be reinforced by match play later in the morning. We will focus on stroke mechanics, playing strategies, and conditioning. Each student will have his/her strokes videotaped and analyzed during the session. The instruction is led by Mike Leary, a USPTA certified professional and high-school coach. (603) 721-1327

Its a week of ingenious inventions as we dive into the marvelous world of Leonardo Da Vinci.
