Repurposed Junk and Upcycled Funk - Ned Smith Center for Nature & Art
This camp is overflowing with creative uses for everyday objects. We will make instruments, art, and gadgets from seemingly useless items. Straws arent just for drinking, balloons arent just for parties, and old cardboard has more uses than you can imagine. We will be thinking outside the box and learning some fun science along the way in this trash to treasure adventure. This camp will focus on encouraging middle and early high school aged athletes to develop their basketball skills for all level players. Focusing on the fundamentals of ball handling, passing, shooting, agility, positional and competition to nurture the total athlete. Coach Soemer has been coaching youth sports for 21 years. During this time he has coached basketball and soccer at various levels. He has also taught physical education for the past 14 years. Junior High Camp #1 Outpost - Cedar Crest Camp
Outpost Camp is our newest overnight camping option at Cedar Crest! Campers will go to stay in a remodeled cabin for a more intentionally rustic experience in the midst of Gods creation. Campers will cook several of their own meals, spend one night in a hammock, do some star gazing, and spend time hiking the grounds daily.
