LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Little Stars (July 25) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp is a special introduction to acting that gives each child a chance to shine! Whether your child loves to do "shows" in your living room, or you wish they felt more comfortable expressing themselves, in this camp every voice is heard. We use creative movement and fun acting games that boost confidence and help build the body-mind connection. With a camper to caring counselor ratio of 4:1, there is a lot of individual attention. Confidence grows as children share their ideas and impressions, working collaboratively on their skit. Each week there are improv games and fun activities that help with concentration and observation skills. During the week campers sing and tell some jokes onstage, build a shoe box set, and paint the scenery for the show. Each day campers practice and prepare for their skit on Friday. We laugh a lot! INSTRUCTOR ROBERTA MASTERS-CULLEN has been teaching childrens classes and camps at the Little Theatre for seven years. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild specializing in radio and television voiceovers, and has been a television news anchor and reporter. My daughter and son thrived at this camp. They are both active children who would rather be outdoors than inside. They are also very social, which is why they loved the fact this camp draws campers from all over the world. Teen Week Overnight Camp - Fort Worth, TX
Teen week was so much fun during 2016, we have added it again for 2017. This is a special session only for those 13 and older. Space will be limited and run at a lower number of campers than traditional sessions. This week will focus on activities designed for older campers. At YMCA Camp Carter Overnight Camp, campers live, play and build deep bonds with their peers. Campers must rely on the others in their cabin groups to share daily responsibilities. Teen Week Overnight Camp, runs from Sunday afternoon until Friday evening and includes 15 meals and overnight accommodations in a fully climate controlled cabin with lots of supervision by our well trained staff.

We are focused on helping campers and their parents to become aware of a unique higher education institution called Florida College. Florida College centers its education around God and His Word, Alabama Camp centers its summer camp activities in the same way. We are not a church camp, but rather a group of Florida College alumni and friends who are eager to provide an environment of summer fun, while remembering who we are as Gods creation. Because of this, we have certain expectations of both our staff and our campers. Please be sure to read these expectations and explain them to your camper if needed. Pathfinders will engage their adventurous spirits as they learn outdoor skills and exciting ways to thrive in nature. Campers will immerse themselves in the natural world as they discover shelter building, map-making, plant identification and animal tracking.
