Hey there parents! We will be having a Kids Retreat for 3RD-5TH GRADERS out at Faith Christian Camp on February 12th! Arrival time is at 6:30 on that Friday and then pick up will be by 11:00am on Saturday morning. Dinner and brunch will be served. The cost is $10 per kid. Matt Johnson is the Dean for this retreat. There will be lots of games and fun activities for your child to participate in that evening. If you have any questions send us a message. We will be posting any updates or details on this page. Feel free to invite others! If you plan on sending your kid please let us know so we can start getting a head count on how many to plan for! Looking forward to a great weekend!

Basketball with Coach C. and Obvious Choice Sports - Germantown Friends School
Under the expert instruction of Courcy Magnus and the talented Obvious Choice coaching team, Basketball Club participants will hone essential skills, such as shooting, passing, dribbling and defense. Game concepts, including identifying opponents strengths and weaknesses and understanding basic defensive strategies, will also be incorporated. In addition to developing players conditioning, flexibility and speed, Coach C. will work with players to build self-confidence and physical endurance while strengthening teamwork and sportsmanship skills. 215-951-2384

Watch great movies and learn about critiquing films. Develop a sense for recognizing the thematic (the directors goal of the film), dramatic (storytelling elements) and stylistic aspects (genre) of a movie. Besides having fun at the movies and eating popcorn each week with your friends, you can share your insights and newly found skills of thoughtfully critiquing a film. Well usually take two after school sessions to watch one movie. Each Monday well watch half of a film and follow with a brief discussion, which includes identifying key characteristics and sharing what we thought worked well or not. Boys and girls ages 3 to 5 get to improve their tumbling skills through a variety of exercises that develop strength and coordination.
