LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Climbing Camp - Advanced - Breckenridge Recreation Center
So youve been through our Beginner and Intermediate Climbing Camps and you still cant get enough? Then this camp is for you! We spend the first two days on the climbing wall learning some new skills and refreshing others from 8:00am-12:00pm. On Thursday and Friday, we depart Summit County for Independence Pass and Monitor Rock in beautiful Lake County for full days of climbing. On Thursday and Friday, campers depart Breckenridge at 8:00am and return to the Recreation Center at 4:00pm. All participants are responsible for lunch each day and are required to have a backpack, sunscreen, plenty of water (2L or more), rain gear and extra layers. No camp on Wednesdays. Four-day camps are offered in two sessions running June 20-July 29. To register for this program, participants must have attended an Intermediate Climbing Camp within the past 3 years or must receive approval from a Climbing Wall Instructor or the Outdoor Programs Coordinator. Intentional programming focuses on increasing youth’s social and developmental skills. Increased confidence and self-reflection happens when staff members push campers outside of their comfort zones. Youth learn a lot about themselves and the world thanks to team-building activities, icebreakers, and a well-rounded curriculum. Kids finally feel like they can be themselves without worrying about bullying.

In this program, designed exclusively for teenagers, students will develop a new sense of confidence and empowering self-reliance as they explore nature, ancient skills, and the lore of the Native Americans. Wilderness Survival Skills are the core of this program. Students will learn numerous outdoor skills, such as Primitive fire-making, shelter building, safe water purification and how to identify wild edible and medicinal plants. From here we'll expand outward and introduce your teenagers to variety of nature awareness exercises. These lessons will engage and enhance all of their senses and heighten their level of Awareness for their entire lives. Teens will come away with a true understanding and respect for nature and life in this great program.

Kids Camp at Mount of Olives Church Kid City is a summer half-day camp for kids preschool - 5th grade. Activities include crafts, snacks, games, music and mission. Bay Bounders (Week 3 AM) - Pirate-ology - NESS
Enlist into the ranks of pirate science. Consider sediment densities to determine optimal treasure burial, become a pirate cartographer while making your own treasure map, experiment with eye dominance to determine eye patch orientation, design a boat to withstand the high seas, and go geocaching to find buried treasure Take a short sailing trip on a 23 foot Sonar to look into wind generation for guaranteed quick getaways. Includes: geocaching, sailing, 1 boat trip & snorkeling 860-535-9362
7-12 Owl Pride Team Football Camp - SHS Stadium
Owl Pride Team Camp is for all student-athletes interested in playing football who will be in grades 7-12 during the 2016-2017 school year. Campers should bring athletic wear and football cleats to camp. Pre-registered campers will receive a camp shirt and water bottle. Walk-up registration will be accepted, but shirts and water bottles will not be guaranteed and will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
