The Salvation Army of Oklahoma, Canadian and Cleveland Counties plan to sponsor 175 children to go to The Salvation Army's beautiful The Salvation Army Heart O'Hills Camp & Conference Center for a week of Adventure in God's outdoor creation. We need $210 a child. Please Consider sponsoring a child for a week at camp this summer. UH Campus Rec Kid's Triathlon - Houston, TX
Hey guys. We are in need of volunteers to help out at the Kid's Triathlon the university is hosting. This is a fun all day event on April 19th with several volunteer shifts to help fit your schedule! If you'd like to help make this a great experience for the young ones, please comment/post on this event telling us when you can volunteer. The shifts are: - 4:45am - 9am (this will entail mostly set up and concessions) - 9am – 1pm (concessions and help with trash pick-up during event) - 1pm – 4pm (concessions and help with trash pick-up during event) - 4pm – 7pm (concessions, tear down and help with trash pick-up during event) The more volunteers we get to help out with the event the better it helps support the club. We hope all of you can come out and help with this amazing event. Invite your friends and family as well! See y'all there!

Announcing our first annual Weinberg Cycle a Kid to Camp event! Join us for a lot of fun and raise funds to send Baltimore City children to Y Camp where they will spend the summer learning, laughing and playing, as children should. Register to ride for an hour or all four OUTSIDE on the cycle studio bikes! We will have a live DJ pumping the jams to keep your feet pedaling for Y kids! Giveaways will occur evey hour for the riders! And we will have refreshments. Register and begin fundraising! Ride for four hours and fundraise (or donate) $231. $231 sends a kid to Y Camp for an entire week. Raise or donate $58 and ride for an hour. Register online today.

Join the Krewe of Chewbacchus this December break for Winter Parade Camp! Our winter campers learn about the history of Mardi Gras traditions in New Orleans and around the world. They create costumes and throws, and build their own shoebox float. At the end of the week, we throw an awesome parade and party with our Chewbacchus kids and families. Camp is held at Castillo Blanco Art Studios, 4321 St. Claude Ave, New Orleans, LA. Typing is an invaluable skill that takes time and practice to master. This class is for children with little or no experience. We will discuss the history of typing, why it is important, learn about proper ergonomics, and the home row keys. Students will be exposed to many different typing programs and games. Price includes $100 lab fee. Campers will work with the biomorphic robot Robosapien. Robosapien™ is a sophisticated fusion of technology and personality. Loaded with attitude and intelligence, Robosapien is the first robot based on the science of applied biomorphic robotics. With a full range of dynamic motion, interactive sensors and a unique personality, Robosapien is more than a mechanical companion — hes a multi-functional, thinking, feeling robot with attitude! Campers will learn programming and hacking basics and even turn their Robosapien into a Ninja Bot! Each camper will take home his or her own exciting Robosapien Humanoid Robot. Campers will also build from scratch our Vibrobot soldering project and construct a bot using a toothbrush. We highly recommend taking Camp Robot Mechanic prior to this camp.
