Our week long programs aboard the Capt. George seek to inspire nature connection through a maritime lens. Well explore the coastal ecology of Ipswich Bay and the Gulf of Maine each day, and carefully plan our days according to observed weather, tide and sea conditions. Above all else, we focus on keeping kids safe, warm (or cool!), and happy. We always depart the dock with a plan, and always change the plan as the day unfolds, as Mother Ocean and Mother Nature always leads. When she offers up something unexpected--a pod of dolphins frolicking across our path, feeding gannets, hungry bluefish and mackerel--we are very willing to change plans to make for the best experience possible. RESIDENTS ONLY: Wilderness Territory waterpark passes are INCLUDED with your wrestling camp experience … giving you the run of 500,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor parks! ROOMS: All spacious, air conditioned Glacier Canyon Lodge resort rooms include: TV, mini Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, & Pay-Per-View Movies/Games (pay for your own selections). Teams of 10 or more will stay in 3-Bedroom suites or houses with their own full kitchen including amenities. Mua Mi Villagers are active participants in their program planning, which includes advanced outdoor skills, waterfront skills, as well as advanced archery and the climbing wall. Percussion Camp - MPLS - MacPhail Center for Music - Mpls
Build your skills on all percussion instruments in this intensive and fun five-day camp. Each day you will play exciting music in small percussion ensembles with other students of similar ability and skill level on a variety of instruments. Students will have the opportunity to select clinics that focus on specific instruments such as drum set, snare drum, timpani and mallet keyboard instruments. During the week students will also learn practical skills such as making their own mallets and tuning their own snare drum. All student ensembles will perform for family and friends on the last day of camp. Students must have one year of band of a year of private instruction in preparation for this camp. Students outside of the age range but who have had comparable experience may contact the camp coordinator, Bob Adney, at 612-767-5410, for placement.
