Kids have FUN during school vacation at the the Connecticut Science Center! Campers in grades 1-6 will experience hands-on science enrichment through fun and engaging activities. Camps include structured activities with our STEM Educators, as well as supervised free time to explore the Science Centers galleries and exhibits. We offer Day Camps during school vacation as well as week-long programs in the summer. Each camps theme helps develop science concepts, guiding campers to greater understanding of science material and its application to the real world. Hi Everyone! It's almost 2016, which means it's finally time to start preparations for this summer's camp! The first informational meeting will be on Saturday, January 9th. There will be a total of two informational meetings (the second on January 31st). If you are applying to be a full time counselor for the first time, you are required to attend at least one of the meetings. Also, keep an eye out on your emails for the counselor application that will be released soon. Can't wait to see all of you on January 9th! Creative Writing - Old Trail School
Campers will learn to become confident writers! Practice makes perfect and campers will have fun writing! This camp offers instruction and practice in creative writing including: journaling, brainstorming strategies, short stories, poems, prompts and more. Campers will practice their writing skills and have fun doing so as they play word games, learn fun writing strategies and share their creative stories. This camp was created especially for paddlers who have completed our River Adventures Kayak Camp, or have strong river-running skills. Join us for five full days of exploring new waterways and wildlife-watching from a kayak! Well supply all the equipment you need (kayaks, PFDs, and paddles), just bring your lunch and your sense of adventure. On Friday, why not invite your parents to come along for the day? Itll give you a chance to show off and leave them in your wake. Campers must be able to swim and tread water for one minute.
