I love this camp for my kids because they were able to go and have a great time while staying safe, but the best part is that they get to come home at night and tell us all about their adventurous day. I love hearing about the laughs and the good times and hearing how awesome the staff is. We really couldn't ask for a better day camp for our kids. We will spend time in Bible study, team building, break-out sessions, and recreation. We will look at: 1. Why defend my faith? 2. How do I know Christianity is true? 3. Is God real? 4. Summer Camp Music Festival - Minnesota Members - Chillicothe, IL
The first Summer Camp Music Festival was held in 2001 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. About 1,000 attended the festival that year, and enjoyed over 20 bands on 2 stages over the course of 2 days. Since then, Summer Camp Music Festival has grown to more than 15,000 attendees, hosting more than 100 bands on 7 stages over 3 days. And while our numbers have grown, Summer Camp still maintains the same energy and family feel we had when we started over a decade ago. As one fan put it, “Coming to Summer Camp is like coming home.” You’ll run into old friends, meet a ton of great new ones, and have the time of your life. Almost tripling the population of Chillicothe for the weekend, Summer Camp creates a city within a city, and greatly impacts the local business economy. Artists that have performed at the Summer Camp Music Festival in past years include: moe., Umphrey’s McGee, The Flaming Lips, Willie Nelson, Bassnectar, Widespread Panic, Les Claypool, Keller Williams, Pretty Lights, Skrillex, The Roots, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Medeski Martin & Wood, and many, many more.

_7th-9th Grade - Just Write It - Rice University at The Anderson-Clarke Center
This session is designed to get you excited about creative writing. You will write daily and learn about various forms and techniques, including prose, memoir, short stories, and poetry. You will discuss the nuts and bolts of writing, and through fun, interactive writing exercises, youll develop your own voice, be inspired by words, and explore your imagination. Our professional writers and teachers will show you how you can use writing to explore issues that are important to you. At the end of the session, you will share finished pieces in a celebration, and you will take home a portfolio of your own work. 713-523-3877

This camp will ask our campers to dream big as we spend the week drawing up our creations for another FSMH Summer Camp Worlds Fair! At the weeks end, campers will get some more hands on creative experience with a trip to Wheaton Arts. While morning activities are geared toward the weeks theme, all weekly FSMH camps include a trip to the pool Monday-Thursday for a swim lesson and play time.
