Teenagers (ages 13-18) of all dance levels are invited to register for our first ever Dance Camp July 6-10, 2015. Students will enjoy skill-based instruction in tap, musical theater, and hip hop from professional dance teachers as they do their morning rotations. After a time of worship, Bible study, and small group time, each day will end with a full company production number rehearsal. Kids After Schoo Core Cooking Camp, Ages 5-8 (Bellevue) - Bellevue, WA
This is a wonderful program that will lay the foundation for healthy eating by educating and empowering students (ages 5-8) about basic kitchen safety, creating a healthy balanced plate, how to subsititue ingredients to make meals healthier and so much more! Classes are sold in a session of four, are held on Wednesdays frm January 4th-25th and are two hours long. The first 30 minutes of each class is dedicated to nutrition education including games and activities. The remaining time is dedicated to cooking, eating, and cleanup. Our Core Cooking Program covers topics such as: Kitchen Safety, Cross-Contamination, Healthy Snacks, Fueling Your Body, Healthy Breakfasts, MyPlate Nutrition, Lunch N Munch, Healthy Cooking Substitutions of Kids’ Favorite Foods Activity sheets, recipes, helpful tips, and individual workstations for hands-on activity are included in the course. Recipes may include things like: avocado veggie dip, peanut butter banana whole wheat coins (nut-free substitutions available if needed), eggs in a basket, French toast, chocolate banana & strawberry smoothie, cranberry broccoli salad, zesty bean dip, pizza spiral sandwiches, sweet potato fries, steak/chicken/veggie grilled skewers, and Parmesan chicken tenders. Field Hockey - Wellington Gym
Welcome to Portledges first field hockey camp! The program will be run by two of the Locust Valley field hockey coaches, Karissa McGrory and Tammy Caramico. Your athlete will need a field hockey stick, mouthguard, shinguards, cleats, and goalie equipment (if you are a goalie!). Session 1 is for any girl looking to love the sport of field hockey. The session will focus on beginner skills such as stick work, shooting, positions, and offense vs. defense. Girls will learn the proper stick skills learned to become a future field hockey star. In addition to learning the proper sportsmanship skills needed to become a well rounded athlete. We recommend athletes joining us for the first session are new players ranging from grades 3-9. Session 2 is for any advanced athlete looking to get ready for preseason and the fall school season. It is recommended that girls are interested in playing on the JV and Varsity level. Athletes during this session will work on expanding their knowledge of the sport, increasing stick skills, and working on specific offense and defensive skills to push athletes to the next level!
