Grades: K - 12th Morning drop off at Lacey Park; afternoon pick up at the Hanford Teen Center. This weeks theme "Red, White & Blue Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. KidzArt Dallas Summer Camp - Dallas, TX
Our themed camps are developed for ages 7-13 and offer a chance for students to spend more time exploring different mediums as they learn about the world around them. For example, in the Around the World camp, students get their own “passport” stamped each day with the country we are focusing on. Magical Adventures – Little Superheroes - The Oakwood School
Learn to throw webs like Spiderman, join the superheroes to save a princess, stop the worry monsters and more when you take magical adventures with your favorite superheroes. These exciting activity, relaxation, and mindfulness classes creatively engage the campers imaginations with exciting themes and superhero missions. Through play, crafts, and guided stories, children will learn some basic relaxation techniques and simple mindfulness skills, such as the superheros mindful listening (focusing on a particular sound or listening to see how many different sounds we hear), mindful seeing (like Superman—focusing on seeing things we had not noticed), and mindful breathing (paying attention to our own breathing). Superheroes are known for their ability to focus their superpowers and use them for compassion. February: Build-A-Thon At Keystone Science School, STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) is an integral part of every experience. The Girls in STEM program dives even deeper by exploring not only the STEM concepts in an empowering girls-only environment, but also highlighting real women currently working in STEM careers. This program builds leadership and collaboration between the girls involved as they engage in fun, hands-on activities that impart new skills and confidence in science, tech, engineering, and math - areas in which girls are inclined to be wallflowers. A key element of the program is a teaching technique called positive growth feedback in which "failure" is viewed as a necessary and even welcome step on the path to success.
