Here at Camp Whetstone our mission is simple...for kids to have a safe, fun, learning experience each and every week. Each week we will have a new theme that will correlate with the different activities and programs scheduled. Our campers always look forward to the large variety of field trips every summer, which could include: the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, Columbus Clippers game, ice skating, Metro Parks, gem mining and swimming at Tuttle Pool. (Some events and trips may require an additional fee to be paid, in cash, at the beginning of each week.) So, lets make new friends and lifelong memories together, at the always exciting, Camp Whetstone! Theme: Health & Safety Flexible drop off time between 7:15-9 am. Flexible pick up time between 4-6 pm. Breakfast and lunch provided. Some field trips and special events may require an additional fee and are subject to change. Not all activities during a session will focus on the theme. Gymnastics - Intermediate Gymnastics Camp - Jefferson County Community Center
This camp is for gymnasts that have mastered basic positions and skills. The intermediate gymnastic level introduces the gymnast to skill on the high beam, handstand forward rolls, round offs, front walkovers and back walkovers. Gymnasts will also work on skills using the bars and springboard. Parents please provide snacks for your child, as we will be breaking daily for a snack. BSDK Sum camp wk 9 Full DAY CAMPER - Baseball Stadium at Devon and Kedzie
LPBA is pleased to announce that we have added a third baseball camp to our summer camp program. This exciting new venue will feature two fields at the former Thillens Stadium, now Baseball Stadium at Devon and Kedzie BSDKS two fields will allow us to divide the campers by age and skill level. We will use field #1 for boys and girls ages 5-7 and field #2 for boys and girls ages 8-13. The camp experience includes a daily exercise and agility training routine followed by instructive drills including base running, pitching, defense, bunting, outfield play, infield play, batting practice and other hitting drills. Camps will be held at BSDK 6404 N. Kedzie and will be conducted by LPBAs professional staff. Guest MLB instructors, past and present major league players, coaches and scouts will be on hand throughout the summer to conduct all-inclusive camp sessions. Camper to coach ratio is 7:1. LPBAs summer camp programs run Monday-Thursday from June 8 though August 28, 2015: Half day sessions from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – $175 per week Full day sessions from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – $250 per week Camp registration is on a weekly basis.
