My son loved Camp Broad Rock. There was a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for my 12 year old son to choose from at this camp. This camp is for children from preschool through grade 12. Unlike other camps, Camp Broad Rock has an indoor aquatic center. My son was excited to know he could swim regardless of what the weather was like outdoors. Join our teacher training and learn to share the ancient Science of Yoga with kids. You don't have to be a Yoga teacher to do this. It's for ANYBODY who works with kids. Great for parents and teachers, along with Yoga teachers who are wishing to continue their education. Our blended training, which combines independent online learning plus two exciting days of classroom instruction, covers breathing practices, meditation, deep relaxation, asanas, games, activities, arts & crafts, business, marketing, and more! Parent's Night Out/Kid's Night In - Winter Park, FL
6:00pm Dropoff 9:30pm pickup Parents night out/kids night in: Friday dinner and a movie at our new, beautiful, kid friendly, home office. We focus on families whose children are currently on treatment; parents who need a night out, with safe, reliable, free babysitting! BASE Camp Kids ages 5-15; patients, and their siblings are included, and welcome to attend! From 6-9:30 we offer up crafts, games, dress-up, snacks, dinner & movies for the children who are dropped off so their parents can have a date night! The BASE CAMP KIDS are entertained by volunteers who bring kid friendly food, popcorn & movie candy BASE CAMP has a digital library of movies; G, PG, PG 13… depending on the age group of the children we will watch movies on our 70 inch big screen TV in our Hudson's Furniture/Ikea-Orlando family room! Our volunteer teams also bring "Lots of energy", games, crafts, and a respite for parents who just need a little time away from their children! Use hands-on experiences and inquiry based learning to answer these questions: How does water change from a solid to a liquid to a gas? Where (and when) can we see these changes in nature? Under the expert instruction of Courcy Magnus and the talented Obvious Choice coaching team, Basketball Club participants will hone essential skills, such as shooting, passing, dribbling and defense. Game concepts, including identifying opponents strengths and weaknesses and understanding basic defensive strategies, will also be incorporated. Would you like to be able to bake easy desserts and breads that will have your friends thinking you slaved in the kitchen for hours? We will be learning to make delicious baked treats including Linzer (jam) tarts, bagels, chocolate walnut coffee (decaf) muffins and more.
