Summer Camp at TROT - Cottondale, AL
TROT will be hosting three summer camps in 2015. Camp will be from 9-2 Monday through Friday, with a horse show on Saturday so participants can show off what they learned. The Red Wolf Teen Leaders(RWTL) program cultivates teens who are equally comfortable and competent both in their communities and in the natural world. This is accomplished through community service, an ever deepening knowledge of place, and wilderness survival skills. Teens in this program will develop a solid awareness of their individual gifts and will be well equipped to carry these gifts forward. Participants in RWTL will go on a series of adventures where they learn essential survival skills such as fire by friction, building natural shelters, wild food foraging and much more.​ To provide a program that is accessible to families and yet offers a deep experience for the teens, were offering this program in 3 separate monthly classes that can be taken individually or as a whole. Each month consists of a Friday evening to Sunday afternoon weekend campout that has its own unique character, and together the 3 months weave a comprehensive and empowering wilderness experience. Junior Week 1 - Middlesex Club
The Junior Camp is open to children who will be entering kindergarten and will be 5 by September 1st or entering 1st grade as of September. The Camp program includes recreational activities, organized games, arts and crafts, music, special events, and tennis and swim lessons. A large tent on the lawn will serve as the Camp headquarters. 2016 Richmond Mountain Bike Camp - St. Catherines School
Richmond has some of the best urban mountain biking trails around! Join the staff of Virginia Outside for daily instruction, trail rides and lots of fun. Campers will develop beginner and intermediate mountain biking skills including: steering, shifting, hill climbing and descending, log hopping, dodging obstacles, etiquette, maintenance, safety and more. Campers will ride in the morning, have an activity such as tubing or snorkeling on the James River, then get back on the bikes in the afternoon.
