Design, make and wear your own fashion gear. This class will involve hand sewing, painting on fabric, jewelry design, fashion illustration, knitting, and learning to do fashion hairstyles. Your teacher, a fashion designer, will inspire you to try new things and express your personal style! Instructor: Britt Rynearson has been teaching art and design for 14 years and has worked extensively with students ages 3 to 18. She sold her own line of jewelry when she was 11 at local farmers markets! In the last few years Britt has taught for Cornish College of the Arts, Pratt Fine Arts Center, Gage Academy, Coyote Central, Centrum, and the Northwest School. Too Much Fun For One Summer
I was worried about what to do with the kids this summer because of my new job. Thanks to Camp Radians I didn't have to worry. They had so much fun every week. Between the swimming (which they can't get enough of) and the museum field trips I feel like they had extended recess. I also like the focus on culture through crafts and food. Gymnastics Camp, Ages 7-13 - Community House
Girls will have the opportunity to learn gymnastics including rhythmic gymnastics with hoops and ribbons, tumbling on the mats and have the opportunity to learn routines on the balance beam, the single and uneven parallel bars and the vault. Lorrie Rousseau is LPRDs Gymnastic Instructor during the school year and now Lorrie brings her talent and over 25 years of dance and gymnastic experience to our summer camps. This is an excellent opportunity for dancers and cheerleaders to get in shape and learn beginner through intermediate gymnastic level activities. Space is limited! Young Builder (HALF DAY ONLY) - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
This is the HALF DAY option for Young Builder. Campers ages 4-5 will want to join us to learn exciting construction techniques using LEGO® bricks. Little Builder allows campers to take their first steps into science and engineering. By using the themes of construction and travel, campers learn about machines, the tools used to work on machines, and their functions. Our material packs include a wide range of bricks and special elements in various shapes, sizes, and colors that are ideal for stimulating childrens creative and imaginative skills. Camp counselors will introduce tasks each day in building vehicles, planes, buildings, towns and transportation systems as we work in groups to build a LEGO city! Campers receive lots of suggestions for ideas but are encouraged to use their own creativity and imagination. Stories and games are also incorporated into this camp, perfect for our youngest little campers, ages 4 and 5. Our pre-k half day camps are 9am-1pm with pre camp options available as well! Baker University Premier Soccer Camp - Baker University
The Baker University Soccer Programs and BCRC will host the Baker University Premier Soccer Camp this June 25-27 at the Baldwin City campus this summer for ages 10-18 for both boys and girls. The camp will be under the direction of Nate Houser, Baker University Director of Soccer; Davy Phillips, Head Coach of Baker University Womens Soccer Team and Matt Trumpp, former Baker University All-American and Sporting KC Academy Head Coach. The overnight camp will run from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. each day with breakfast, lunch and dinner mixed in with technical sessions, tactical sessions, video/pool sessions, and evening games. An early bird special is in place for those that register before June 1. The costs include professional instruction, three meals a day, housing in on-campus residential halls and a camp T-shirt.
