Our classes will focus on healthy recipes for snacks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additional content will include kitchen safety skills, nutrition games, fun fitness activities, and more. Students will leave with the skills needed to work confidentially in the kitchen. This program is held for 3 hours a day over 4 days. Cost is $150 and includes a cookbook/workbook. Camp is limited to 10 students.

Teens will get to participate in team-building exercises, go zip-lining and other outdoor activities as well as give their input into ideas they would like to see for youth programs in the local community. Teens will learn ways they can use their interests and skills to develop their leadership, citizenship, presentation and organization skills by becoming in involved in the various 4-H Teen programs offered in Rock Island County.

Put your school holiday days to work! Join us on Veteran’s Day, November 11, for a service day in the local Seattle community. Pack a lunch, snacks and water to stay energized for our project. Friday morning will be spent at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetland. We will be helping to restore the wetland habitat by removing invasive weeds, spreading mulch, and planting native trees and shrubs! $15 fee to participate includes staff supervision and transportation to service projects.

Summer Sing 2.0 - Valley Springs Presbyterian Church
July 13 – 17 Summer Sing 2.0 For boys and girls entering grades 5 – 8 An all-day experience, 8:30am – 4:30pm that is filled with music, singing, and electives. Improve your singing voice with group lessons and one on one coaching from the Artistic Director. Electives like guitar, recorder, musical crafts, choreography, and drama will be offered as well as our Afternoon Specials. Theme for the week, Musicals with Class. Our final concert will be that Friday evening showcasing music from Musicals and the Classics. Enrollment opens March 5.
