LATEST CAMPS NEWS: JR PGA League - The Golf Courses of Kenton County
PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is designed to better socialize the game for boys and girls, ages 13 and under. PGA JLG features team vs. team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play competition. This is a great way to get kids involved in the game! Players will practice on Monday and/ or Tuesday (4:30 - 5:30 PM) from May 11th through June 9th. Matches will be played on Sunday afternoon. Schedule will be determined by amount of players and other local teams. (Practice times may be adjusted as we enter summer break from school.)

The focus for this program is to inspire and empower tweens and teens and to establish a deeper sense of self respect and self discipline so they can live a more balanced and fulfilled life. We will empower tweens/teens through journaling, breathing practices, meditation, aerial yoga and mat yoga. We'll have fun and learn to trust others and ourselves through partner yoga poses. Though drop in students are welcome, we encourage participants to enroll in the the entire four week program because each week we will build upon the lessons of the previous week. Camp runs 5-6:15pm on Tuesday, July 19 and 26th, August 9 and 16. Please note there is a break the week of August 2. A minimum of 4 students is required to run the program, so please register early! A refund will be given if the minimum number of participants is not met. There will be a maximum of 8 participants, based on the number of aerial yoga hammocks, so pre-registration is required. Magical Adventures – Little Superheroes - The Oakwood School
Learn to throw webs like Spiderman, join the superheroes to save a princess, stop the worry monsters and more when you take magical adventures with your favorite superheroes. These exciting activity, relaxation, and mindfulness classes creatively engage the campers imaginations with exciting themes and superhero missions. Through play, crafts, and guided stories, children will learn some basic relaxation techniques and simple mindfulness skills, such as the superheros mindful listening (focusing on a particular sound or listening to see how many different sounds we hear), mindful seeing (like Superman—focusing on seeing things we had not noticed), and mindful breathing (paying attention to our own breathing). Superheroes are known for their ability to focus their superpowers and use them for compassion.
