Can you tell a bird from its call? Identify a mammal from its prints in the mud? Ever wonder where flying squirrels live? How to catch a snake or a bullfrog? Come join us as we adventure through creeks, marshes, forests, and the many natural places of beauty we have to explore on The Heights campus and all around the metropolitan area. The various ingredients of this camp make for a fantastic summer experience. From the personal attention and fun atmosphere of learning, to the outdoor adventures and games, this is an experience hard to beat or imitate. Activities: short classes, nature walks, daily journal, creek exploration, games, field and fishing trips, and specimen collection. Session I will focus on mammals, reptiles, and birds. Session II will focus on insects and trees. Staff Anton Vorozhko teaches 6th grade homeroom in the middle school. Contact Anton Vorozhko at The Heights School, Notes Save plastic jars with caps and old shoes. The normal dress is basic outdoor attire (shorts and gym shoes). Amazing Experience!
I sent my two kids (9 and 13) to Alton Jones for the first time last summer, they absolutely loved it. My 9 year old did Earth Camp, he loved tree-climbing and kayaking the most! My 13 year old did Teen X Adventure and also loved climbing (she did rock climbing!) and the water park.
I was concerned about the cabins, since most camps have a busy basic set up, but these were great, I wish I had cabins like this when I was a kid!

This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 4th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2015.
Kid's Camp Christmas - Ridgecrest, CA
Camp Christmas invites children in 4 year old Preschool through students in the 5th grade, to come and learn about Christmas meanings and symbols. Dinner will be provided. Registration forms are required and due upon arrival. Forms will be available in November.
Spring Into Summer Fit Camp - Antioch, TN
This will be a 4 week event. Workouts will last for 1 hour and they will be full body workouts. Everyone will need their own yoga mat, jump rope, 2 3-8 lbs weights, water, and towel. All fitness levels are welcome you will never be judged only motivated to push yourself. Bring a positive attitude and a smile. Invite your friends and let's make this a amazing event plus we all know if you bring someone with you then you are 90% more than likely to complete the fitness camp. Get ready to have a great workout. !!

Leaders In Training (LITs) Teens enjoy daily itinerary features like those of Sessions 1 & 2 OR Counselors In Training (CITs) At the Camp Directors discretion, teens who have completed at least one full 2016 LIT session and shown exemplary leadership skills may be assigned to a CIT position and assist with younger age group of campers.
