The summer will be gone before we know it, but we are still galloping full speed ahead which is why Tomten Farm and Sanctuary will be offering a special mentoring program to animal loving kids ages 11-16. This unique program is designed for kids with the desire to learn more about the day-to-day operations of an animal sanctuary and get hands on experience with our rescues. Taught by our long term volunteer and intern, UNH Equine Science major, Aileen W., it’s sure to be chock of personal attention, education, hard work, and more animals than you can count. Join us at the farm 2-3 weekdays from July 10th to the 31st, 10:30-2:30 and help us go above and beyond to maintain happy, healthy animals 365 days a year. As always, safety comes first so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing (closed toed, hard shoes, bug spray and sunscreen) and bring a signed release, a copy parent/guardian license or federal ID (feel free to black out addresses, birth dates, and SS or S numbers) drinks, lunch, and an appetite to contribute and get involved with one of your favorite rescues! Boot Camp Fitness Class to Support New York Road Runners' (NYRR) Youth
Join us on Sunday, July 10th for a special one-hour Boot Camp Fitness Class to support New York Road Runners' (NYRR) Youth Programs, which serve over 200,000 students annually with free running and fitness experiences. During this special Boot Camp Fitness Class hosted by Michelle Stiglitz, you will sweat your way through a series of various exercise all to support a good cause. The class will be held outdoors in Clove Lakes park. We will meet promptly at 9:00am on the Martling Avenue Bridge (near the Staten Island Zoo parking lot) Please bring a mat or towel and a bottle of water. *All fitness levels are welcome to participate! Youth Winter Weightlifting Camp - Waunakee, WI
We are pleased to announce an upcoming Youth Weightlifting Camp, hosted by two USAW Certified Coach’s. This is a great opportunity for local kids during their winter break, plus it is for all levels. The online sign up, for this 2 day clinic, is attached below. We will also have t-shirts, tank tops, or a hat for each registered attendee. Strength training for kids should consist of skills, coordination, stability, movement, agility, kinesthetic awareness, flexibility and balance. This should include big muscle groups that utilize body weight movements and free weights with light, manageable loads. Things like Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and plyometric movements. If these exercises and movement patterns are taught at a young age, the athlete will have a greater advantage in technique as they progress in age and strength. Our Youth Weightlifting Camp is December 28-29th from 9am til 11am both days, for ages 7-17, and again for all levels.

Musical Masters Camp - Pensacola Little Theatre
Bring Broadway to life through learning the fundamentals of musical theatre auditions and performance. Students will explore in depth musical theatre history as well as the elements of singing, dancing and musical theatre style acting. A musical showcase starring the students will be presented on the last day of class. There will be NO camp on the Monday, the 4th of July. Camp will resume the next day. Students of Musical Masters are eligible for a $20 discount on our Break A Leg Camp that runs the same two weeks from , please call for the savings code. Grades: K - 12th This weeks theme "Red, White & Blue Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child.
