Showtunes: Sing and Dance (August 15) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
One of the most difficult aspects of musical theatre is being able to sing and dance at the same time. This camp will help to develop this ability. Working hard to prepare a selection of show tunes for a live performance will give the campers quality experience and better prepare them to participate in musicals at school and in the community. Campers will perform in large and small groups while also allowing each child to take the spotlight with a singing or dance solo within the group numbers. This is an opportunity for your child to build a talent that many young performers struggle with. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. Lets Put On a Show! (Reworked for 2016!) Monday-Thursdays, July 18-28, 9:00am-12:00pm NOTE: Extended days -- July 27 and 28 9:00am-4:00pm (Dress Rehearsals) Performance -- July 28, 4:00pm Bernardsville Middle School Cafeteria Stage Dream big and be a part of this camp experience offered by Music in the Somerset Hills! Lets Put On a Show! is designed to help young, aspiring singers and actors learn new skills for the musical theater stage. During the program, you will spend time learning how to create a character through your singing and acting, develop your songs into a story, and dance with fresh choreography designed specifically for you! Led by Jennifer Foose (Director of Musicals and Vocal Music at Cedar Grove High School), you will perform the best age-appropriate repertoire and learn how to choose songs that best suit your unique voice and needs. Basketball - Falcon Boys Hoop Camp - RSU5 Recreation and Community Education
There is more to learn from basketball than just basketball itself. With an encouraging and supportive atmosphere, players will be introduced to basic skills, concepts and fundamentals through fun and effective drills and games.
