Help work to repair or modify the homes of families in need with other high school students from different denominations, states across the country and walks of life. Any students who are currently in 8-12th grade may participate. Westlake / High School - Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
**PLEASE NOTE: Grade level refers to rising grade level (the grade your child will enter in the fall of 2015).*** Campers spend three weeks working with a professional writer, who guides them in a number of creative pursuits: discovering new works of literature; creating poems, stories, and nonfiction; practicing the techniques of published authors; sharing work with peers; preparing work for publication; and performing work for an audience. All campers will receive a Badgerdog notebook, T-shirt, and water bottle. All campers will be published in a professionally bound anthology released in the fall. 512-542-0076

Field Hockey Day Camp Session #1 - Vonnie Gros Athletic Field
The WCU Field Hockey Day Camp is designed for the development of the field hockey athlete from advanced level to beginners. All campers will have individual skill instruction with play-ers of similar ability and experience. Topics that will be covered: individual/group instruction, offensive/defensive strategies, specialized goal-keeper instruction, as well as competitive game experiences in a positive learning environment. EQUIPMENT Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, bath-ing suit, sunscreen, and a con-tainer of water (no glass). WCU and its camp staff are not re-sponsible for lost or missing items. All personal equipment should be marked with the campers name. "Meet Spot" Week 6 - Animal Training Adventure Center
This session is for young campers age 7 who love puppies and dogs, or young campers who need to overcome a fear of dogs. Campers will be introduced to basic responsibilities of pet ownership and the needs of a canine companion by working with rescue puppies and dogs. Campers will engage in play and structured games involving puppies and dogs that teach dog handling skills, dog safety, and promote having fun with a dog. This session will also include animal-themed family movies, animal-themed arts and craft projects, and homemade dog treats prepared by campers.
