In On Stage: Spotlight, everyone is a star! Our two week camp is designed to allow students the opportunity to dive into performance and design/construction aspects of theatre by working on an abridged production. This year, students will perform 5-7 musical numbers with corresponding scenework from the Broadway hit, Matilda, based on Roald Dahls beloved book. Well start each day with physical, vocal, imagination & focus building warm-ups. Youth Winter Weightlifting Camp - Waunakee, WI
We are pleased to announce an upcoming Youth Weightlifting Camp, hosted by two USAW Certified Coach’s. This is a great opportunity for local kids during their winter break, plus it is for all levels. The online sign up, for this 2 day clinic, is attached below. We will also have t-shirts, tank tops, or a hat for each registered attendee. Strength training for kids should consist of skills, coordination, stability, movement, agility, kinesthetic awareness, flexibility and balance. This should include big muscle groups that utilize body weight movements and free weights with light, manageable loads. Things like Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and plyometric movements. If these exercises and movement patterns are taught at a young age, the athlete will have a greater advantage in technique as they progress in age and strength. Our Youth Weightlifting Camp is December 28-29th from 9am til 11am both days, for ages 7-17, and again for all levels.
