Socceropolis Summer Camp - Airport Park
Boys and girls will enjoy age appropriate activities that include: dribbling, trapping, shooting and soccer games. Whether your child is a beginner, intermediate player or experienced club player, our camp will provide the training that will best fir their needs. The goal is to provide the opportunity for each child to develop gross motor skills and nurture his/her growth socially and emotionally through teamwork and good sportsmanship in a safe and supportive environment. Early Riser?s Camp is open to youth enrolled in Discovery Camp, Campapalooza I and Campapalooza II that would like to extend their camp experience. No camp on July 4th. In this workshop, well use Design Thinking to research, invent, and prototype new solutions for happier pets. Come prepared to create, think about animals, and build a pet utopia! Instructor Bio: Rei Jackler is an Oakland arts educator, design teacher, writer, and maker nerd. She holds a Masters in Teaching from Stanford University, where she also trained in Design Thinking at the D.School. In Oakland, she is currently Makerspace Manager for the La Escuelita Elementary School Makerspace, and has also taught design with Chapter 510. Rei loves making of all kinds: knitting multi-colored scarves, writing fantastical short stories, and baking with a lot of chocolate.
