LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Rock Band Camp @ SMCC - San Marcos Community Center
Students will learn how to play basic drum, guitar, bass and piano riffs to various lyric-appropriate (parent-approved) rock/pop songs of their choice. Classes will include ear training, learning to read music notation, instrumental techniques, viewing music video clips for inspiration, and more! No experience necessary, but welcomed! Instruments will be provided to share, but bring any that you have from home. Time will be allotted each day for a snack and water break. A short performance will take place on Friday at the end of class from 11:40-Noon where students will have the opportunity to sing and/or play different instruments for the songs we have been developing throughout the week. 20% sibling discount. Watauga Kid Fish & Campout - Watauga, TX
Come out to Watauga's Capp Smith Park to enjoy a fun evening with the family, fishing and camping out under the stars! Poles and bait will be provided, or feel free to bring your own. Don't forget your tent and camping gear! Fishing Derby Age Divisions: 6 & Under, 7-11, 12-16. Prizes will be awarded. We will have a few food vendors on site to purchase dinner & treats. A Free Breakfast will be provided for the overnight campers the following morning at 7:30AM. You MUST pre register for the campout by Thursday, September 16 in order to receive the free breakfast. Final Summer 2016 Kid's Riding Camp - Georgetown, TX
Sign up now for our last riding camp of the summer for children ages 3 - 18. Camps are half days, and kids learn about safety first, equipment, horses and riding in our soft-sand enclosed and covered round pen and enclosed outdoor arena. Kid's are outside getting exercise in the sunshine and fresh air, learning a new skill, having fun, and gaining in self-confidence. What could be better? All classes taught by Eric Clarke, horseman and natural horsemanship clinician with 35+years experience as a professional horse and people trainer, assisted by several of his horsemanship apprentices. Class size is limited. All equpment and horses provided, except for boots (with a bit of a heel please; no sneakers) and helmets (no bicycle helmets). Siblings may share helmets as needed. *********SORRY CLASS IS NOW FULL AS OF 11:30 ON 9/9/16. IF YOU COMMENTED BEFORE THIS TIME YOU ARE CONFIRMED AS GOING. THANKS!!!*********** Parents please stay with your children for this event. Bring lawn chairs to relax in. This will be our final Kids Gun Safety Class this season. Ages 5-17. We have found that this is a great learning experience for parents and children alike. We are working with the local law enforcement community to have officers, equipment and K9's available for demonstration. Children will be shooting .22 and 9mm pistols as well as .22 rifles. An instructor will be with the children to assist in holding. Please confirm in the discussion thread if you are coming. Donations of cash or ammo will be accepted at the registration table but are not mandatory for attendance. All donations go to future children's classes. Registration will start at 12:00 so please be early! Thanks!!

Our older campers will start their day at Cipriani School with camp activities and a healthy snack. Monday-Thursday they will head to Highlands Recreational Center in Footsteps vans and buses for a 1/2 hour swim lesson and 1-2 hour free swim. After swimming, campers head back to Cipriani for snack and afternoon activities. On Fridays campers will travel to Aqua Adventure Water Park in Fremont for a day of fun in the sun! NEW FOR THIS YEAR, each camper enrolled in swim camp will receive a Footsteps Sun Protective long sleeve rashguard-style swim shirt to wear while in the pool. 650-610-0715
