Calling all junior adventurers for another summer of discoveries! In this half-day camp, your sons will enjoy all that The Heights campus has to offer. With beautiful stands of native tree species, numerous bird boxes, and a room full of past discoveries, there will be no lack for exciting new areas of learning. Two days will be dedicated to the animal kingdom – mammals, insects, reptiles and more. Another will focus on seeds and plants. – we cant live without them! Two days will also be devoted to experiments and discovery, bringing their knowledge to life. In the course of daily adventures around campus, campers will climb the trees theyve heard about and capture the insects theyve drawn. With a take-home booklet filled with artistic learning exercises, your son will be drawing on his discoveries from this camp for years to come! Staff: Peter Vitz, 4th grade homeroom teacher, has taught natural history at The Heights for 5 years. Contact: Peter Vitz at The Heights School, Notes: Usual dress is normal summer attire. Gets your child instructed project time in clay and a snack and a drink . Save $5 on registration when you have 3 or more students sign up . AKA All Sports Camp Week 12 is open week for kids looking to stay active and for parents who need a place for their kids. All Sports Games and fun activities is again the theme and there will be plenty of activity. With school just around the corner, a lot of families take this time to go on trips or to just be together. WE RESPECT AND APPRECIATE FAMILY TIME!!! We would love to see as many kids as possible for this final week before school so sign up today. Featured Field Trip : Trip to Grand Slam Family Entertainment, Thursday, September 1. We will even have a human hungry hippo challenge! Magical Gardens Gardens are a major part of what makes the Hermitage so special. During this week of camp we will celebrate various gardens as we take your young artist out into the beautiful Rose Garden, Sunken Garden, and Rain Gardens at the Hermitage. Campers will do observational drawings, landscape paintings and create their very own ‘magical garden. Through nature walks they will discover garden sculptures and learn about patterns in the natural world. This year campers will also have a special opportunity to contribute to the Hermitages very own vegetable garden! Allow your artist to discover magic in the Hermitage Gardens!
