Step Into Sewing (Audrey Oberman) This project-based 3 hour camp-day (x5 days) will start with the basics so no experience is needed! Campers will work at their own individual pace and may choose from several smaller projects like a needle book and pincushion and then work on a larger project throughout the week, or a mixture of both! They will learn how to thread machines, sew straight seams and iron them, as well as some different techniques for finishing seams, and how to add closures (snaps, buttons, zippers, ties) to projects. More experienced campers may choose to learn how to cut from a pattern and make a simple garment such as pajama shorts. During all weeks...New children: will work on the basics and pick special projects and team up with the experts. Returning children: will be able to continue with what they heave learned, re-make favorites. NEED: labeled water bottle, snack, lunch and shopping bag to hold projects. Helpful if camper has own NAME-LABELED sewing machine, sewing box, but not required. Ikea has a great machine for $60 if you are looking to invest in one before or after camp. 7604029969.0

Senior Morning Camp - Lewis & Clark College
Senior camp is centered on small group instruction in technique, nutrition, and training for specific events. Our coaches go beyond the basics and fundamentals, instructing campers based on their age, experience, and goals. Our coaches are well-versed in the best coaching and training methods and are excited to share that knowledge with our campers. Events include pole vault, shot put, discus, sprints, long jump, high jump, javelin and distance running. Athletes will receive three full days of comprehensive training, technique and drills. Golf Camps - Golf - St. Paul Gym
Learn the FUNdamentals for this lifetime sport with the University of Minnesota School of Golf. All Participants will experience the latest techniques in golf training and specialized starter equipment. Campers age 6-8 will learn putting, chipping and full swing technique through games and drills, plus etiquette and rules. Older campers add in pitching and additional training stations, plus get a chance to apply their skills on the course and learn more about how a golf course operates. These sessions are best for beginners to those with moderate experience. Bring golf clubs if you have them; some equipment is available to share. Please plan accordingly for the weather with a cap, sunscreen, water bottle, and umbrella or rain gear. Campers will spend the week making delicious desserts and mouth-watering main courses. Through daily hands-on cooking, campers will learn creative ways to cook some of their favorite dishes.
