Check out our Kid's Summer Cooking Camp! Jr.Chefs warm up the kitchen as they're taught the finer points of food preparation, keeping a clean work space, recipes & measuring ingredients… all while having fun! Kids will learn to make delicious appetizers, amazing salads, mouth-watering sauces, yummy breakfast dishes and favorites such as pasta, vegetables, rice, potatoes, fish, meats, and soups. Campers will turn their digital snapshots into real photographs, learning how to combine traditional basics of photography, (lighting, composition and style) and blend them into the digital age. Campers will learn how to tear apart a pixel in a digital darkroom and take a photo, even members of their family will like. This camp has plenty of outdoor activity. Campers should bring a digital camera, extra batteries, a USB cord to attach their camera to a computer and a CD or external jump drive to load and save their finished images. Treasure Hunting with Stamps! Letterboxing! - The Evergreen School
A week of stamp making, hiking and treasure hunting. Students will create their own stamps, follow directions, and find hidden letterboxes. They will stamp in and collect stamps from each of our daily hikes. We will even make our own letterboxes, write up the clues and hide them for others to find. Students will be hiking approximately 1-3 miles daily with plenty of time for breaks, lunch, play, and treasure hunting. Children must bring a lunch, a full water bottle, and should wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. The class will be outdoors all day walking fairly easy trails.
