Wahoo for the Thanksgiving Teen Event. I love this event! We'll do some outreach on Wednesday (probably giving out hot chocolate or tea at the balloon inflation) and then partner with Gobble Gobble Give to rock out Thanskgiving Morning serving--and then head home to do Thanksgiving with our own families. If you're coming from further away and want to do Thanksgiving here-that's also totally cool. Get excited and save the date!

The Discovery Kids Camp is offered in nine sessions. Each session is one week in duration, with various themes and activities every day. Each session includes different activities daily in literature appreciation, physical movements, music, and art. Outdoor activities are enjoyed every day that weather permits. Educators provide a rich learning environment for the children in the Pre-K program including many sensory experiences, hands-on activities, language immersion opportunities, and Kindergarten readiness integration. Children construct their own learning and knowledge from the endless opportunities and the guidance provided by the educators. This special learning environment is a product of our philosophy of the image of each child as competent, capable, and curious. Educators also provide children with integrated opportunities to practice learned Jewish ethics and values each day through lessons on the Jewish holidays, books, games, rituals, and customs. Pre-K educators also meet each year with Austin Independent School District (AISD) Kindergarten educators and Austin Jewish Academy (AJA) Kindergarten educators to discuss student expectations and recent educational developments. Schedules for each Pre-K class include both large and small group times as well as times for individual choice in centers and on the playground. Children learn to follow directions and transition between activities. Craig Ranch Sports Camp Week 1 - Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch
This camp is a joint venture between Cooper Fitness Center at Craig Ranch and the TPC at Craig Ranch. Brad Ott will utilize his 20+ years of golf training experience to teach children ages 7-16 the basics of golf. Fundamental learning will focus on full-swing (wedges, irons, and woods) and short game (putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker play). Campers will then move on to tennis under the guidance of Head Tennis Pro, Andrew Kaikai and his assistant. This class will lead players in drills to help their general strokes. This class is designed to introduce beginners to the game and improve playing ability through drills, activities, and fun games. After lunch, the campers will jump in Coopers Olympic-sized pool under the direction of Head Swim Pro, Patrick Kennedy and Swim Coach, Mike Howes. This class will serve as an introduction to teach your child the fundamentals or swimming through drills, activities, and fun games.
